English National Ballet

Well, it was big news earlier this year when Alina Cojocaru left The Royal Ballet to join her friend Tamara Rojo at the English National Ballet.

Everyone knows The Royal Ballet, but what about ENB? It is a national touring company.

I have been watching BBC's Agony and Ecstacy: A Year with the English National Ballet. You can find ep's of it on YouTube. In the show, dancers get bullied, budget cuts are imminent, and Polina Semionova can't get a VISA and practically misses her guest appearance for Swan Lake.

Glad to see Daria Klimentova is still getting prime roles, even though in the series she worries about how much longer she can last (but again, more bullying).

Derek Deane of ENB makes Adam Sklute from Ballet West / Breaking Pointe seem like an angel in comparison. Vadim Muntagirov seems used to it, Russian teachers are pretty intense too.
