Details: No use of y/n please. Reader is reluctantly part of a crew of sailors/pirates/privateers/ assigned by the island of Naboo's chancellor, Palpatine, to catch a merperson because of a legend that says something from a mer (tears, flesh, dealer's choice) grants immortality. Fives is the captured merman, and forms a bond with the reader. Bonus, merfolk CAN transform to have legs, but perhaps under certain conditions. Fives, being the cheeky, mischievous guy he is, "forgets" that humans have an aversion to public nudity. 😏 Insert awkward flustered reader at seeing a naked man for the first time 🤭

I love Mermay! May I request a mer!reader x Sailor/Pirate!Fives? The reader is a siren and is technically supposed to be luring Fives and his friends to their deaths, but ends up not doing so after getting into a convo with him. When someone (Palpatine, Fox, random guy, whoever you want) does try to kill Fives, the reader is able to save him. Happy ending please!

Finally felt up to finishing this year's mermay entry! I had trouble figuring out unique and dynamic poses for all of the lads, but otherwise I feel like I did a good job.
Species-wise Rex is a shortfin mako shark, Jesse is a dusky dolphin, Kix a nurse shark, Hardcase a puffer fish, Fives and Echo are dragon moray eels, Tup is a ribbon eel and Dogma a giant oarfish.

Rex smiled as he watched his beloved Mira slip the seashell necklace he had made for her around her neck, seeing her so happy with it brought him more joy than he could ever think possible.
"I can't wait to show you my... our.. Grotto," Rex said as he rested his arms on the rock his beloved was sat on. "Just a few more days and you can join me as my mate."
"Will it really work?" Mira asked as she ran a hand along the shaved portion of her hair. "Turning me into a mermaid that is..."
"Of course it will!" Rex soothed as he realized how nervous she was about it. "We've done everything right, there's no reason the magic won't work. I know you're going to be the most beautiful mermaid I've ever seen."

I used the same sketch for all the Clone designs
So... the vibrancy of the white tattoos is unrealistic but these sketches are merely for the hell of it so let's skip over that for now. The chest tattoos are supposed to be Rex's hand print and Echo's helmet lines at the same time, had to find a way to incorporate both cause it didn't feel right to leave either out. And the black spots on the tail mirror Fives' white spots on his own, because obviously they would lmao.

Dogma doesn't really understand why Tup, a Reef-Dweller, would come all the way out to talk to him. But he's not about to turn away the only company he ever has. He quite likes Tup after all, even if his flashy coloring and noisiness drives his dinner away...
