Hah, yeah, and isn't it beautiful? They've both got disorganized attachment styles, except Bruce's is more anxious and Joker's is more avoidant. As in, one desperately looks for attachment and meaning despite being scared of it. While the other desperately avoids attachment and meaning because they're scared of it. Hence they're perfectly suited, via the way they lean into these extremes, to force the other to acknowledge what they're running away from. They're scared of the same thing and simply handling it differently, so they're basically built to enable each other as characters-- and getting trapped in a cycle of "I'll prove to you that nothing matters/I'll prove to you that everything matters."
