I grew up with a passion for spooky stories, ghosts, and of course Halloween. Growing up in a small town meant that a trip to the bookstore or graveyard was nothing short of a holiday. Mainly because there was nothing else to do. Other than stare at the deer. There were lots of deer.

To Marco Castillo, Whispering Pines has always been more than just a national park. It’s his home, his duty, and the only place he ever wants to be. Being a park ranger is everything to him. So when he's given a chance to be in charge of a pack of wolves to help promote conservation efforts, Marco is quick to accept. All is well until one morning when a rookie goes missing. Assumed to have quit, no one thinks much of it. At least until the rookie’s arm is found out in the woods. Worse, it was found in the jaws of one of his wolves. Forced to prove that his wolf wasn't the killer, Marco will soon discover that the creatures of Whispering Pines are far worse than anyone could have imagined. Dark secrets lurk within the park, and the truth he uncovers has fangs sharper than any wolf. Now, Marco is on the run, stalked by a monster that won't stop until it hunts him down.
