agatha syphon rio’s power to sacrifice herself because she knew that would kill her (little lines she’s being poisoned by rio’s power)

but once she is "poisoned" that’s when she falls into all habits, into the familiarity of her relationship with rio (no more poison lines, no more syphoning)

#i hate legacy names#sorry#especially when it’s like more than one person’s name#like i /get/ that you think these characters cannot live without memoralzing their lost loved ones in some way#but you /got/ to start thinking of these child characters you create as autonomous beings outside their parent’s own pain or validation#legacy names always leave a bad taste in my mouth#because like why would a grown ass adult name their child after someone#(especially a paternal figure who–in stiles case–emotionally abused them for a while)#???#why would an adult who has had years to cope with something decide to bring up those emotions when they have a child#outside of the already painful and complex emotions that come from having a family a loved one can never meet?#not to mention it is subscribing these children to let down their parent when they do not exhibit the same characteristics as the one they#are so named?#No to mention#in fics where a child is the result of a previous relationship legacy names that do not seem to take into account the other parent’s life#are /fucked/ up#as someone who lost their mother very young#i cannot imagine naming my child after my mother that is a sacred name and the fact that one of my cousins had the /audacity/ to do that#makes me soooo mad#there are sooo many ways to memorialize someone who has died but don’t name another living human being after them#also just in general be more creative with names??#Names are easy? Literally just pick one?#Or find a name that connects to the story in some way?#that is way more meaningful to the /story/ as well as to the characters#i’m done#i hate legacy names and i always will
