Can someone explain why cool kids have designs which resemble gems? Is there any theory on topic?

The theory going around is that the cool kids resemble the gems to show how Steven’s support networks reflect each other. He has well-rounded support from gems and humans!

Vadalia headcannon

What if Vadalia and her family aren’t actually human?

Ok this head cannon may same strange yet I belie that they are not human, yet they are decedents of Rose in some way.

We all remember the Watermelon Steven episode, where Steven first learnt of his and his mothers Phytokinesis where Rose and Steven have ability to grow sentient flora that act as guardians.

The gems announce that Rose’s creatures where more advanced, would his or could this mean that they were closer to the human race than Steven’s water melons. Maybe her creatures where so strong they had reproductive systems which worked with humans.

Now the people/characters I am talking about are…

I just feel like it makes sense that Rose Quartz may have taken Onions and bred them to be the creatures she used for the war. Yet when she bred them not only did they take the features and mentality of humans but they were able to reproduce with humans and maybe that’s why Onions family takes on odd appearances. Due to the fact that they genetically could have onion DNA within them. Look this head cannon may be far fetched yet I feel like it makes sense due to the combination of both onion’s family’s appearance yet to their names. 

Adding on to that Onion has always seemed drawn to Steven, may it be because of Onion’s genetic relation to Rose Quartz?

Similarities between the designs of the Crystal Gems and the “Cool Kids”

THEY HAVE YELLOW TAIL’S SCHEDULE FOR WHEN HE’S HOME AND IF YOU DON’T THINK THAT’S ADORABLE YOU’RE FUCKING WRONG!

I absolutely love all the kids and teens (young adults) on this show. Rebecca Sugar and the rest of the staff in Steven Universe did a wonderful job with their characters so far. These kids aren’t perfect but are relatable and well written. Being caught up in the series, I don’t think there is any character I dislike in this show. Prepare for some SU Character Analyses in the future followers. 

I freaking love it when gems pick each other up and toss people around like no big deal they do it all the time

Another parallel between Sour Cream, and Pearl.

I’m not going to go over what’s been said a thousand times before, but there is a certain parallel I’ve noticed between Sour Cream, and Pearl.

Namely, a certain ‘planetary’* symbol each one has;

Now, is it just me, or does Sour Cream’s head resemble that of the crescent moon?

“Okay, Eric, I see the resemblance, but what does this have to do with anything?”

In gemology, occult study, each planet is given unto it a corresponding gemstone. In a lot of occult lore, they list the planets as Sun (Sol), Moon (Luna), Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. This was because back in the ancient days they didn’t know about Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto.

With that said, one of the stones that corresponds to the Moon is the pearl.

So basically, both Sour Cream, and Pearl share a moon motif.
