Indefinite Hiatus

Hi lovelies. So I haven’t posted in a while and I think it’s time to say that this blog is on indefinite hiatus.

I’ve had so much fun over the past 6 years on hockey tumblr and hockey twitter, and I’ve really enjoyed sharing my fics and reblogging gifs from the super talented gifmakers in the fandom. I’m keeping this blog up because I might want to post a few things here or there, but for now, it’s time to move on.

I started this blog while depressed, having dropped out of college and cut ties with all my friends. Hockey was such a great mental crutch for me, and this sport and this community and especially the Bolts team and fanbase helped me find happiness in a time when I was really struggling. I made so many friends here, some of whom are still sticking around in my WhatsApp messages to this day, and I couldn’t be more grateful. It even connected me with old friends—a friend from high school reached out after seeing me post about the Devils and asked if we could be hockey buddies and go to some games together. We ended up rekindling our friendship during the 2017-18 season.

I’m in a much better place now and have been really happy the last few years. There are still hard days, but I’ve graduated college, held a job for the last two years, and will be moving this summer to start med school in NYC. And that old friend from high school who hit me up because he saw me posting about hockey? We’re moving in together and talking about getting engaged soon :)
