Speaking of TOS, the perving on and attempted sexual assault of Yeoman Rand in multiple episodes takes on an extra level of discomfort when you know that was the fate of the actress. Grace Lee Whitney was raped by an unnamed studio exec overseeing Star Trek and then fired by him to cover it up, which is why she only appeared in season one. One might wonder if the way the writers treated her character emboldened him to act.
