It's all fun and games when we make silly memes and art about Spock loving Jim being chubby and squishy, but it is actually a vital point of Jim and Spock's relationship.

I think it's very important to note that Jim is all made of curves. He's soft and round. Despite being muscular, he's still naturally chubby and made of delicate lines. His hair are flowy and slightly curly, his eyes are round, he has that little smile that always arches his lips up. It exemplifies Jim's soft personality, the fact that he goes with the flow.

In striking contrast, Spock is made of all sharp shapes, straight lines and angles. From his leaner, sharper figure, to his sharp straight bangs, his pointy ears, his sharp eyes and brows. It exemplifies Spock's logical and straightforward mind.

I think this fact is genuinely vital to their character, and in the way they fit perfectly in each other's lives. Spock 100% craves the roundness of Jim. He craves that softness and lightness of Jim's lines, he loves the gentle flow of Jim's thoughts, he finds it comfortable to squishy that chubby body. On the other hand, Jim feels anchored and secured by the sharpness of Spock's body, by the firmness of arms, and the straightness of his thoughts. They fit perfectly in each other's geometry.

This probably makes no sense, I don't know how to explain it, but in my mind it makes sense.
