All I need from Age of Ultron is for Steve to be fighting and then there’s a bullet that comes from out of nowhere and saves him. With steve looking around for whoever shot. That’s literally all I need. They dont need to show bucky, or show steve saying bucky. We all know who fucking shot.

The relationship between Cap and the Winter Soldier was never resolved at the end of the last movie. Thinking about where that relationship can go is a piece of the puzzle for us for sure. That character is a wonderfully, beautifully tragic figure in the sense of is he the world’s most feared assassin or is he the world’s longest serving POW. Is he innocent by reason of insanity or the equivalent of it because he’s been mind controlled or is he irredeemable? Is he ever going to be acceptable to Cap again as the friend that he used to be before he was the Winter Soldier? These are very philosophical, emotional questions that pique our interest and definitely form one layer of the next movie.

#it strikes me suddenly#that steve develops a frightening ability to jump from high places#after bucky falls off the train#i mean he drives a plane into the ocean#he jumps out of a plane without a parachute#he jumps out of an elevator god knows how many stories above the ground#he even dives off of a helicarrier before warning sam to catch him#i can’t really recall what moves he pulls in the avengers#but i’m sure they’re equally hazardous to his personal safety#anyway i suppose it could be steve becoming more aclimated to his physical limits#or lack thereof#it could be his normally reckless behavior having its moment in the sun#it could even be something more tragic#like a willing sacrifice someone whose life is no longer their own#but then i look at the last gif#how he curls up against the train and closes his eyes#so he doesn’t have to see what? a missed chance#the steve rogers by cap 2 probably wouldn’t have hesitated to throw himself after him#this one though this steve is afraid#(and rightfully so PLEASE do NOT go throwing yourself off of things)#(it already gives me a heart attack when steve does it)#i like to think maybe steve thinks about bucky before he jumps#both before and after he finds out about winter soldier and HYDRA#because if bucky could do it#if these were what he thought to be his last moments#than steve could also live through it#probably with a guilt complex the size of montana#now that’s character development - from fear to a willingness to let go at any moment#it’s frightening character development granted but quite good (via whothebuckisfucky)
