When Scott was bitten, Stiles tried to be there for him, yes, but there was nothing he could do if Scott wouldn't listen to anything he would say and just put Stiles aside, as if Stiles was disposable or something.

So Stiles made the decision to go and fully help Derek, he helped Derek with choosing the betas and became part of Derek's pack, and decided to just cut Scott off by blocking Scott's number and ignoring him in the school. He used the time he'd usually save for Scott to train with Derek and his new betas, and Stiles also found a new best friend in Erica, she was definitely a better best friend.

With all the training Stiles was doing with the pack, this also helped him with his Lacrosse abilities, so he quickly became one of the best players. Stiles, Erica, Isaac and Boyd became really popular in the school now, with Stiles and Isaac being in the Lacrosse team plus being two of the best players and Erica and Boyd being considered the hottest couple of the school. They totally stole Scott's thunder there, but Stiles didn't care at all, Scott has had enough attention already.

After that development, Scott tried so many times to reach out to Stiles so they could go back to being friends, but Stiles wasn't having it, he told Scott not to call him or text him. Scott didn't after that, but he did go to Stiles' house and tried to climb the window, Stiles was unimpressed by the whole ordeal and warned Scott one last time to not contact him ever again, that includes trying to climb his window, he told Scott to not test him, that he knew how vindictive Stiles could be. Stiles didn't know if that would work, but just in case, he made 4 copies of his house's keys and gave them to Derek, Isaac, Erica and Boyd and told them to use the keys, that meant using the door, from now on 'cause he would put wolfsbane in his window, just as a precaution against Scott.

Stiles was serious this time, he let it slide way too many times, he was tired of Scott trying to go back to his good graces just because he was more popular than Scott now. Stiles couldn't help it, he felt bad for Scott, but no more, now he is going to put wolfsbane in his window, he really is. So Stiles told the pack that now he was really doing it and he would really appreciate if they could use the keys now.

Scott got worse in the school since the last time he tried to reach out and found Stiles kissing Derek in Stiles's room. The pack knew Scott would be so immature about it, but they were not expecting that level of immaturity.

Stiles backed Scott since they became friends, went out of his way to help Scott when the werewolves-are-real happened, he tried and tried again and got nothing in return, only Scott being too full of himself when he became popular and got a girlfriend out of it and leaving Stiles behind. Now he is jealous that Stiles finally got some friends that do everything for him too? That Stiles got a boyfriend out of it?
