so cal’s latest thing is stuffing himself into one of my pillowcases for naps, presumably because it’s nice and enclosed and i’ve never had a cat who loves to burrow more than him

that said, sometimes he gets stuck and i lose my shit

My fucking cat has figured out how to gently dig his claws into my eyelid and pull my eyes open while I'm sleeping. He does this. It does not hurt. He is remarkably precise and gentle. I however am asleep when it happens and do not appreciate being clockwork oranged by a needy clingy goddamn animal who thinks he needs attention.

I would like to clarify that this animal self feeds and is not being denied breakfast by my sleeping in. He doesn't do this to anyone else. Everyone else simply gets increasingly invasive headbutts and even thats a fairly rare occurence. This fucking cat needs to cuddle with me specifically, And he is decided that the best way to do it is to gently shove his claws underneath my eyelashes and pull. There is no way I can train him out of this because believe it or not shoving your fingers in somebody's eyes to wake them up has the desired reaction.

We have come to a compromise. One that neatly illustrates the reason I'm not wearing an eyemask.

If I have a hair tie on my wrist, my darling sweet baby boy, love of my life and apple of my eye, can gingerly dig his teeth underneath and grab it in his mouth and then back up. and pull. And Snap the hell out of me with the elastic. Again, he is very gentle and precise, there are never teeth touching my skin. This is not a fluke, he managed this several times in various circumstances and positions.

This is worse than a toddler. We are approaching diabolical machinations hitherto undreamt of by domestic felines.

Happy Halloween 🎃 Everyone knows that black cats are the ultimate halloween mascot, so I had to draw them for this year’s spooky season. Contrary to popular belief, they’re not bad luck - unless you refuse to give them a treat or cuddle them, in which case they will seek revenge!

The thing about kittens is that they aren't much larger than a big bunch of bananas but they think about murder constantly. He made this same stupid face at least a dozen times while playing Get Got today and he probably thought it was scary every single time.

This is a very happy kitten.

So blissful that he got stuck in his happy pose for about 10 seconds.

Is Vice trying to feed you? Is he implying something? lol

Vice is a very anxious One Person Cat, and as his designated One Person, it is my sacred duty to investigate any New Thing that Vice has discovered. On the one hand, this is generally a good thing--on the occasion that Vice found a hole in the catio and discovered the big outside, he came immediately running up to me at my tomato plants to tell me what he'd found. And he'll tell me about bugs he finds, or if Malice has trapped herself in a room by shutting a door behind herself, or if someone is at the door. Generally fine. But sometimes he Discovers Earthworms Exists, or Learns How To Murder, and it turns out that those are also New Things I have to be informed of.
