We've been losing power due to winter storms lately so my partner 3D printed me a tealight "to fill in for tumblr when you're offline"

If you're wondering why I will not leave this site and why I love it so much: after this went around, I got a message from Tumblr asking if they could make it official merch and then they did. I said go for it, and donated the .stl file because I want to help the site stay afloat. It went live yesterday I think, and it's even prettier and better than this original design (they definitely put work into it which was very exciting).

But I want to say something else. They asked for suggestions on where to get these made, and I gave them the names of a few mass production companies, but I also gave them the name of my small local guys. I didn't expect them to go there, it's probably more expensive to use a smaller local shop, but I know it would mean more to them. And I was immediately told they'd check in with them, and then that's just what happened.

They went with my little guys.

So if you're wondering about the price, it's because Tumblr staff just... Listened and cared. They listened to the people who said they wanted one of these, and then they not only asked me but listened to the answer when I suggested supporting a business local to me. That's invaluable to me.

Also it's important to me that you know this comes apart so you can use just the dumpster to put things in. My prototypes are full of jellybeans.

i wonder why young impressionable trans ppl who want to go on t would be afraid of being hairy and bald and fat. i wonder if it’s maybe bc they’ve watched the queer community treat fat queer people in general, but particularly fat queer ppl who are hairy, bald, and/or not feminine, like absolute fucking shit. i wonder if it’s bc our society assigns morality to looks and fat hairy bald ppl get literally treated like predators simply because of the way they look. i wonder if it’s because they watched the rest of the queer community idolize and prioritize white thinness. i wonder if maybe, just maybe, there are deeply seated issues in the queer community that we might wanna address when they make themselves obvious instead of falling back on mocking individuals for the way they look.

to any of my fellow trans folk in missouri, Plume (the telehealth provider i get my HRT from) is offering no-cost HRT prescriptions from April 24th-April 27th. please pass this on so anyone in need in missouri can get help

In response to the Missouri Attorney General’s emergency rule severely limiting access to gender-affirming medical care, we will provide gender-affirming hormone therapy at no cost before the rule goes into effect from April 24 to April 27.*

If you’re in Missouri and need immediate care, you can schedule your appointment here.

We are pulling together all available resources to help as many people as possible across the state, but we can’t do it alone. We’re calling on every clinician in the state who can join us in this effort, and applaud Planned Parenthood and other providers for expanding availability for gender-affirming care appointments up until April 27 as well. We’ll be actively promoting on our website any and all providers that are still accepting appointments, in case we can’t responsibly service everyone who needs it in time.

We understand how stressful this is for our Members, employees, and everyone in our community right now. Know that we’ll be doing everything in our power to help you through this.

RBing for those who need it, though I also want to add (as a MO trans activist) that there is currently NO guarantee that people on hormones before April 27th will be allowed to continue. Republicans are trying to remove that “grandfather” clause. Regardless, it does not hurt to try.
