Hello! I’m pinging you all because I've noticed you’ve all reblogged this Gaza charity scammer's donation post, and i’m hoping you didn’t lose any money to them. (I apologize if you were wrongly pinged, it was very difficult putting together this list from their reblogs 😭) If you gave this person money through PayPal, you can attempt to dispute the claim through Paypal, and if you're American you can also submit a fraud report to the FTC.

The easiest way to tell if someone is a scammer is to check their username to see if they follow random naming conventions (a string of random nouns- in this case “massivegalaxytragedy” which is indicative of botting) and then to check their gofundme link, which in this case is fake, and redirects you to their PayPal, with the PayPal name “Angeline Ikwabe” which is not Palestinian and follows a pattern of similar scammer names.

They also hid, blocked, and removed replies calling them out.

(Not all people reaching out through the inbox are scams though- I've gotten legitimate messages from genuine people needing help from Gaza before! When Palestinians in Gaza reached out to me, they showed by who and where they were vetted from, and had legitimate gofundmelinks. So if you get an inbox message you're unsure of but are still wanting to help, check with the scammer tracker list and vetted fundraiser masterpost linked above 💕)

This shit is incredibile. Like if you just looked at one video from one of the multiple Gazans living in tents who know english and are documenting their lives on tiktok and instagram you'd know.

I know how they get water, how they change their phones (literally one of the first photos ive seen after the genocide started full force), how they cook, how they wash their clothes, how they get money transfer to buy food throught the incredibly simple act of caring and listening.

You are too busy reading The Times of Israel and dehumanizing arabs to the point that even if you were teleported in Gaza right now you'd simply turn the other way and pretend you didn't see.
