Band Of Brothers vs. The Pacific - Endings
Band of Brothers is all about brotherhood and how these men joined and formed a uniquely close knit group, those friendships helping them getting through the worst of war and with the same purpose, making it a point to contradict their motto “Currahee” meaning “stand alone.” In fact the motto is more apt to the characters of The Pacific, which shows a much more cynical side of WWII seldom explored in movies and television. There’s a sense of isolation that isn’t in Band of Brothers that can be found in The Pacific with the characters scattering at the end of the war, and with Band of Brothers ending with a wide shot of the company when The Pacific ends with a wide shot of Eugene Sledge alone.
