You know what marvel are a bunch of cowards I fully believe cap wolf should have been permanent or happen more in the comics
YES THANK YOU
And it's strange Marvel didn't do more of it, since the story is famously strange and strangely famous. It was well-recieved for all its goofiness and twists and turns, though it does have somewhat of a reputation for being "unnecessary" in the comic fandom (which I don't agree with, everyone needs some Capwolf in their lives). Some even call it the "peak of 90s Marvel"!
Capwolf was put into other media later, such as Earth-13122, better known as LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2.
Earth-19919 - here he got changed into a Spider-Mutant by a virus and later further mutated into a werewolf.
Captain America Vol 1 402: the "Man and Wolf" story arc (there are 6 parts) (this is the one I was previously showing with the wolf revolution)
And then there's this other one that I have screenshots of, but I just can't remember which comic it is!!! I know it's a Halloween special, but finding the names of comics is an absolute disaster, let me tell you that.
.
+ Bonus!!
Captain America: Sam Wilson Vol 1 #3, Sam gets changed into Capwolf!!
Poor Sam. Misty can't stop making werewolf puns😩
Marvel Comics #1000: We’re Calling Him Ben
I feel this is an important addition. He saves so many people on a regular basis that this just keeps happening. And he feels so much for his uncle that the answer is always the same.
…. This hits different when you realise he’s canonically Jewish
Can you please elaborate ? I’m curious as to what it means
You can read a pretty good summary of it here, but as (most likely) Ashkenazi Jews, PP probably follows the minhag (custom) that says “that by naming a newborn child after a deceased loved one, the soul lives on through the child.” (Quoted from the site linked above.) And given how his Uncle Ben died, it just makes it all the more sadder tbh.
another fine distinction is that the soul isn’t thought to be reincarnated, it’s that the memory of the loved one is kept alive and more good deeds in life can be inspired by (and thus partially attributed to) the dead. ‘may their memory be a blessing’–the memory of the deceased is honored, respected, and who they were is retold as inspiration to the next generation.
ben’s memory is a blessing. that’s extremely jewish. spiderman is inspired not just by the shame of his death, but by the moral teachings he’d given peter in life. and his name given to these babies is another part of it: babies named in spiderman’s honor are also very honestly and truly named in his honor, and continue to be blessings to the world.
it’s very joyous, i think. very sweet.

"Dear T'Challa. Years ago, when your father was but a child, your grandfather Azzuri met a most curious man...
The sudden arrival of a common enemy made them allies, but it was the Captain's nature that made them friends.
He grew to appreciate Wakanda as few outsiders ever had. So much so, that the king entrusted him with the highest gift Wakanda can offer. Your father, eldest son of Azzuri, never forgot that."

This picture amazes me. Thor’s just standing there like, whatever, with T’Challa’s whole weight on one arm.
Meanwhile Vision is standing right there. He can fly. Thor can fly. Wanda can fly, yet this is how they decide to do their recon
I feel there's a "character pretends to be a cat by meowing when the bad guys ask who's there" joke in here somewhere🤭
I'm pretty sure namor is constantly mad at steve because he dosen't realize namor is Flirting with him
YOU'RE SO RIGHT AND I WAS WRONG
The annoyance. The frustration. The pain.
What a man gotta do to get another man's attention? Save his life? He ALREADY DID. He saved Steve from DROWNING. And you know what Steve did?? You know what he DID???
SAY ANOTHER MAN'S NAME
You know what that's like?? That's like getting your crush an amazing experience in bed and when they climax they yell out the name of their EX, I mean can you IMAGINE???
He invited Steve to a threesome, and then?? Then Steve said NO, I mean UGH🙄
What's an Atlantian man gotta do, anon? What's an Atlantian man gotta DO??
Return Steve's shield??? He DID that, SEVENTY YEARS AGO IN A SURGE OR WAVES WITH NO SHIRT ON AND IT DID NOT WORK
Yeah anon, you're right, Namor is furious😤
Steven monster fucker grant rogers what would your mother think of you rn after she warned you about stuff like this
Sarah Rogers: Steven Grant, listen to me now, you be careful about what's out there, you never know what strange creatures you may bump into
Steve: okay mama, I promise to be careful
Also Steve:
Bucky: I can't believe it. Is this why you never accepted any of the dates I brought? Is this where I went wrong all those years?
Steve: Buck-
Bucky: I'd be out there on the streets looking for Bonnie and Connie, but you're telling me now the ones I should have been looking for was Freaky and Fangy? Is that it?
Steve: I-
Bucky: well butter my butt and call it a sandwich. Who could have guessed Steve Rogers was out there looking to bang the things I had nightmares about
Captain America No. 192, 1975
The pole dancing lessons finally pay off
Captain America No. 251, 1980
Every time I read this comic I misread and think they want to inspect Steve's booty, and every time I don't really doubt it.
Also, this entire issue was just this:
Captain America No. 252, 1980
I’m…. okay, you know what? I can’t deal with this. I just can’t. Look at them, they are both so fucking thrilled to be having this weird interaction. Look at Steve’s stupid grin? Batroc’s shit eating “Oops! I guess you caught me, Captain!” bullshit? What even is this???
It's love💘
You ever read these older Marvel (’40-’90) comics and see a certain panel/read a certain story that creates this funny feeling in your stomach as if the creator had some kind of suppressed gay urges and this was the only thing they could take it out on?
Like especially in quite some of the Captain America (1968) issues Steve Rogers keeps talking about how great his financée is, but then he has these like “moments” with other men, especially his enemies who just get really into it and call him nicknames like “pretty boy”, “my little one” and “my darling”, and he never minds at all, and... what is up with that?? Not that I’m complaining.
Maybe I just see what I want to see but I can’t help but think about it
