Rewatching The Dark World, my fascination of Asgard has been awoken yet again, and I made some stills as reference for anyone wanting some visualization of what MCU Asgard looks like!

How do you think people from asgard would react to steve if they ever met him because we all know thor has a crush on him
lmao well, I feel like as a people who're used to the antics of the whole Odinson family, they would appreciate Steve being a little more... level headed, maybe? (lbr, that's why everyone loves Heimdall too). I mean, they've been subjected to how many secrelty-directed-by-Loki-plays? Steve'd be probably a welcome change.
Also, idk if the movies ever made it clear, but are all Asgardians enhanched, or are they slightly enhanched, is it just the royal family? But lol, imagine them seeing Thor treat Steve like he's not a mere mortal. They'd be intrigued, definitely, maybe a little bit curious about this golden mortal who's unlike anyone of his kind and who their would-be king treats like an equal...
Until Thor's courting antics begin. Then they start 'hating' Steve too lol.

All Asgardians have enhanced psychology, so imagine them thinking Steve is "frail" (they don't like to use that word because they respect humans, but pls they always burn in the sun and get hurt so easily😭), like Jane, but then they see Thor full-body shove Steve into a wall and the stone cracks, so immediately a few people are jumping to provide aid, but Steve just has the biggest, shit-eating grin on his face and then hurls himself right back into Thor twice as hard.
First they think he's a fragile flower, then they think he must be a cocky jock like Thor, but then he shows an incredibly polite, soft side of him and the Asgardians are like ???
He bests some of their fighters in training with raw strength and amazing skill, but then he lies in the lush grass in the sunlight, weaving a crown of flowers as a gift for Thor.
Frigga is doting on him at first sight (she'd recognize a mama's boy anywhere), insisting on some clothes and food and something to drink right away. Steve almost cried, being reminded of his own mom like that.
Thor is putting up a show for his courting, and to Steve it's endearing, but the rest groan in unison because here he goes again. The Warriors Three immediately start hyping Thor up to Steve, though...
"Have you heard the story of when Thor took out three Bilgesnipes?"
"Thor once ate twenty oxen in one go!"
"Did you know Thor can split the earth with his bare hands?"
Besides that, I feel like Heimdall and Steve would like each other. I don't know why, but I can picture them sitting together in the Observatory in silence so well, Heimdall watching the universe and Steve sketching. Sometimes Steve will ask Heimdall what he sees, and as Heimdall explains Steve tries to draw it. Steve leaves all his drawings in the Observatory, and though neither really talks about it, Heimdall keeps every single one.
Once, Heimdall lend Steve his sight, so he could look at the galaxy himself.

It didn't even cross my mind before but now all I can think is Bucky remembering that he once knew another kind and strong blond lady who had healing hands.

Now all I can think of is Bucky on the soul forge like Jane in The Dark World, and Frigga taking a look at him because not having any memories is odd, and he looks up at her, just barely seeing a woman with blond hair trying to help him, and he mumbles, “Sarah?”
Later, when Frigga asks him who Sarah is, Bucky shakes his head and says, “I don’t know.”
Bucky and Thor can have a training session, and Bucky proves to be a phenomenal fighter. He can’t beat most of the Asgardians, because fair’s fair, they’ve been training for hundreds of years, but he does keep up and gets a few licks in.
The thing is, though, is that the reason Bucky nearly wins from some of the warriors who were excited to have a new sparring partner, is because he refuses to back down even when he’s had a punch too much. In The Winter Soldier we saw that even though he was hurt, his arm broken, shoulder dislocated and whatnot, he still kept fighting. The Soldier has shown to ignore his own health to complete his mission. And that’s what gets them.
Thor doesn’t like it, period, and the others don’t either. Battling your friends is a load of fun and cheers and Asgardians do it all the time, but it’s just not funny if someone gets into it so badly they won’t back off even when hurt, especially not if they get a very empty and blank stare in their eyes.
So then Bucky does some more searching for answers, and they lay off the sparring, keeping it easy. Instead, Thor introduces Bucky to some lighter things. Some easier things. So then Bucky starts braiding flowers into a crown. He sits at the waterside and watching the river flow. He takes walks through the hills. He meets the people of Asgard and learns what it’s like to be a person again.
Unlike in Winter Soldier, Bucky isn’t plunged into his memories, because there isn’t something to trigger them. Steve means the world to him so seeing Steve just broke through that mental wall, but Steve isn’t here, so Bucky can only gradually make it better for himself.
He’s always missing something, though, something he just can’t remember no matter how hard he tries.
But that’s just me rambling again ahhhhhhhhh I just love this concept so much!!!! Because Bucky in Asgardian clothing YES PLEASE❤️❤️
Pls someone give him a cape and a horse I think I’d die
OK but imagine if Bucky was freed by the asgard soon after his fall and he lived there until the attack of manhattan and he comes to earth only to find out that Steve is alive
