TV Guide: Can you briefly talk about Dean's new look? When he showed up in that turtleneck with that swoopy hair, I was like, "Who is this man?"
Thompson: Yeah, a big credit to Carrie, who runs our costumes and was on the mothership as well. She and her team create these incredible lookbooks, and Jensen had felt like Dean would try to fit in a little bit in the era, and because we were in a bus depot and we knew we were going to have other people there in military uniforms, I think someone had mentioned a merchant marine kind of a look. As soon as I saw it, because she uses stills from movies and I think it was a still of Robert Redford from the 70s, and I was like, "Oh my god, I can't wait to see that." That was the first thing we shot of him on the last episode, and again, I think a lot of people happened to have shown up that day for work that didn't need to do that just to see a very handsome Dean Winchester in a turtleneck and peacoat. He looked phenomenal.

Soooo, just come out of the Jensen Meet and Greet with him and Danneel and as no NDA's were requested I feel its ok to answer the Winchesters/Zeppelin question straight from the horses mouth!

Apparently it DOES cost a LOT of money even to be considered by the band so Jensen confirmed that he didn't take a salary for that episode, they took money from some of the other production costs and higher up the food chain and then asked nicely!

He also confirmed that the band only agree to usage for brands that they respect so obviously The Winchesters got the seal of approval.

Mind you, as Jensen said, he'd like to think his son's name didn't hinder their cause!!!

I feel like Dean’s final monologue there about “I was told not to mess with anything so I gave a little nudge” was 100% Jensen Ackles looking in the eyes of everyone involved with Dean’s ending and going “fuck you. Like actually fuck you, dude. Team Free Will for life” and it makes it that much more special
