Nour Update

Hello again folks, I have an unfortunate update on Nour’s campaign. As you may have seen from this post on his blog (https://www.tumblr.com/noor509/767231079278100480/pay-noureddine-aboalresh-using-paypalme?source=share) Nour’s GoFundMe campaign was unexpectedly shut down with little explanation or reason. I checked GoFundMe’s refund policies and it says everyone should have their money returned within the next 6 weeks, so if that does not happen write them. In the meantime, Nour and his family are still in need and you can support them by donating specifically to this Paypal: paypal.me/NoureddineAboalresh . They still are in need, please do what you can to help!

Hello everyone, this is a deviation from my regular posting but I wanted to take a moment to introduce you to my friend Nour. Nour is a father from Gaza who I have been writing back and forth with for a couple of weeks to discuss the situation on the ground, financial needs, and his family. His dedication to his loved ones never fails to warm my heart, and his passion to see them receive a better life inspires me to fight for Palestine every day. Sadly, right now neither of us can fight in the way the world wants most, through money. In Gaza right now, little food and resources are coming in and winter is right around the corner. I can feel it getting cold where I am and know it is cold there too. I know in America me and my loved ones are struggling, but I also know those in Palestine like Nour are facing even harder struggles. Because of that, I ask that wherever you are in the world and whatever you’re facing, you help Nour and his family in whatever way you can, especially if that can be financially. 

Right now, what Nour’s family needs most urgently is a tent to protect them from the cold as winter sets in. He estimates that it will cost a minimum of 450 USD. If every one of my followers were able to donate 5 USD he would exceed that goal, and have some extra money for food, diapers, and warm winter clothing for his children. I know we can’t all do that but that’s how little you have to spend! When I get my paycheck this weekend I will be donating what I can and encourage you to do the same. If you can donate for someone else, do that. And if you have nothing you can give right now, share his fundraiser, reblog this post, or make your own post sharing Nour’s story so his family can sleep in a tent this winter.
