god it's been so long since I thought of this au and honestly lemme say these vibes are immaculate

Jotaro and Pucci just Vibing and befriending eachother is so wild and silly, ESPECIALLY in this AU for the weeks/months that Jotaro thinks that Everything Is Fine And Things Are Good And I Might Actually Have a Friend Now??? Neat I Guess :>

(but of course, this just makes the inevitable betreyal so much worse >:3c)

also now I can't get the mental image out of my head that the first time Jotaro met Whitesnake he just fucking threw a book at it drhvjshnvjs

so I had a silly idea for the United Twins AU

what if Pucci ended up being the one to go check out Giorno :)

so it's been years right? Pucci and Jotaro are still close friends, Domenico and Perla are out doing Whatever They're Doing, maybe working for the Foundation, and things all seem fine

Finding out Dio has a kid....... not great, all things considered. Not the end of the world, after all for all they know the kid could be a completely normal, Not Evil person, but it would be best to check. After all, there is also the possibility the kid has a Stand and given Dio's....... it's likely to be powerful one

So Pucci and Whitesnake get sent over to check it out and worst case scenario take the kid's Stand

now, Pucci has quite the collection of Discs at this point. Any of the truly dangerous ones he gives to the Foundation to keep, but the rest? He has obtained a mass amount of CD cases organized by type and function, and even has a couple cases specifically organized with the intention of Foundation Work

So Pucci comes to Italy prepared for shit to go sideways, and shit does. Black Sabbath is easy to deal with, and he does trust Giorno has good intentions........ but to be fair, this is still a 15 year old seemingly on his own and ready to throw his lot in with some of the most dangerous people there are

also it's an excuse to poke around for Polnareff, and he's definitely not turning that possibility down

however....... well, Pucci's never been very good fighting on the frontlines. He knows this. That's his brother's thing.

So he ends up watching from the metaphorical shadows. With the help of a Stand or two he manages to tail the Bucci Gang completely out of sight

specifically, he's there when Bucciarati and Trish get attacked by Diavlo :)

so he intervenes and everyone's high key freaking out about who the hell this guy is, Giorno's questioning whether or not he should say anything, Pucci's slowly getting a headache and Diavlo's more or less in a coma on the floor because he got his whole soul and brain yoinked

(also completely random but I think Whitesnake should be allowed to take Mista's gun. As a treat. Also I think a Stand shooting someone is just hilarious in general and I don't want to miss out on the opportunity)

Okay hear me out:

Joot in Italy + United Twins

Pucci and Domenico keeping watch from far away while Jotaro joined the Bucci Gang

specifically, them watching him suddenly appear with Trish and Bucciarati and a giant hole in his chest

and just. this is Jotaro. Jotaro. Their best fucking friend who's helped them out more times than they can count and who they've helped in return. In the last decade they've been through thick and thin, the flippant and the important

and they watch him die

they watch him crumple to the ground in a pool of his own blood, watch the light drain from his eyes, watch Star Platinum begin to crumble

well...... I think it's pretty safe to say Diavolo's life span has been substantially shortened

MUAHAHAH MY HAA OBSESSION WILL NEVER STOP

Oh fuck me now I’m thinking of Joseph giving Jotaro all his Hamon in the Hamon Crusader AU-

like. Maybe at some point, Joseph ended up learning Jotaro had Hamon without Jotaro realising. And sure Joseph's super confused as to how the hell this happened, but he's naturally overjoyed at being able to share this with his grandson!!!

Ofc, there is the question of how he's supposed to tell Jotaro that he knows because it's not like Joot told him about this and he's worried if he does it wrong Jotaro might just clamp up or feel cornered (his memories of what Holly said Jotaro had done in the jail cell are still rather fresh in his mind, so you can't blame him for wanting to be on the safer side)

So he waits and tries to figure out a way to bring it up

But he waits too long. And before he knows it the topic of Hamon somewhat slips his mind and suddenly Dio's hot on his heels and Jotaro is standing frozen, confused and unknowing of the danger that stands before him

but Joseph remembers what had happened mere moments before. How his meagre attempt at a defence had worked, that for all the power The World gave to him Dio was still but a vampiric creation made by the stone mask

he was still vulnerable to the sun and by extension, Hamon

so as he stands there shouting at Jotaro, warning him of what's to come, he sends out a tendril of Hermit Purple to latch onto his grandson's body

and just as he feels a knife taste the flesh of his skin, he gives him everything he can

He won't let his precious grandson become like Caesar, and if that means taking the role for himself then so be it. All that matters is that Jotaro makes it to the end of the fight alive

he didn't go on this journey to trade the life of his daughter for the life of his grandson. He's rather give his own than even think of that possibility

he's surprised to wake up, barely minutes later. His body aches a way he never knew it could before, feeling so much more frail and aged than he was used to. It hits him just as quick that the familiar bubble of warmth that had been in his chest and lungs for as far back as he could remember was almost completely gone, but the smallest ember remaining

but looking up at Jotaro's haggard face, his wounds still bleeding and his eyes waring between terror and desperation and hope, Joseph thinks it wasn't that much of a price to pay at all
