Lmao imagine Joseph asking Wamuu the types of courtship among the pillarmen to use this as ideas for gifts and dates for Susie as a love girl and wife. And Wamuu just "bro our family was 4 men and I don't know what types of courtship my guardians had because it must have been something crazy. And I learned to fully discern people literally before/after hibernation."

Wamuu: "I don't know how human relationships work, but there should probably be words of approval and compliments. Didn't Susie choose you as her permanent partner, able to provide a protected Housing space, help with household problems and possible small offspring?"

Joseph: "Yes, I realized you didn't know shit about romantic relationships when I married you both, and then you, Wamuu, to prove your importance and worth as a good partner, brought a ton of flowers, clothes and jewelry from somewhere. Where did you even find all that stuff?"

Wamuu: "I need physical affection" :(

so many cuddle piles. at any given moment one of them will grab another and boom blankets pillows cuddles affection
when Holly was born, Wammu's brain broke a bit because just. She's so tiny. He started crying right then and there and swore to do everything to keep her safe
Joseph and Suzie showing Wammu everything they can about the world and helping him experiment to discover the things he likes
Wammu really likes carrying his partners around and Joseph really likes to indulge him. Sue him, it's been a long time since anyone was strong/big enough to carry him
Joseph's usually the middle spoon when they sleep, but sometimes they swap around so Wammu can be the middle of the cuddles
Suzie has a hobby of gardening and their house is FILLED with plants of all types (if Joseph gives them a little extra burst of energy with hamon so they grow bigger and faster, well no one needs to know-)

Joseph being the sun symbolism one, all bright smiles and full of energy and lighting up with joy that radiates outward for the other two. When Whamuu, wondering what to do with his life now that he is no longer bound to his family and has no battles to fight, tries poetry, he keeps being drawn back to the concept of Joseph being the sun he sought just as much as Kars sought the literal sun. His jokes and smiles light up and inspire Suzie's own, and he's the center that drew them both in together to him. And what is the sun if not a star seen from closer anyways?

Suzie having the moon symbolism, being the softer subtler one in some ways, reflecting Joseph's own mischief and humor in her own way, with her cooler color schemes, seeming like the least integral of the trio at first but she balances out the other two, reflects back Joseph's joy when he's too exhausted to light up as he always does, is the smallest physically of the trio, the one who keeps Whamuu holding on to hope when Joseph isn't there.

Whamuu as the earth symbolism, the solid sturdy one, the one who doesn't glow like the others but is no less vital for it, inspired to make his own path in life by the light of HIS sun, gentle and caring and protective of the other two (and oh so frightened of what will become of him once his sun inevitably burns out, the cold loneliness and loss he will inevitably face.)

I’d image that at first it was a very difficult decision for him to make. It was essentially asking him to choose between his two partners, and he didn’t want that. He couldn’t even try the idea of teaching Suzie Hamon and get both, he had to make a decision or else the decision would be made for him

Eventually his distress might even get noticed by Suzie and Wammu, which after a small possible breakdown leads to them having a long talk about it, addressing all his concerns as well as the ones they have.

It’s probably Suzie who convinces the other two that she doesn’t mind. That she wants Joseph and Wammu to be able to live together even after she’s gone. She may not be able to live as long as they would, but she still wanted to spend as much time as she could with them, and they reciprocate that feeling.

And they do. While Suzie’s mortality constantly remains a fear in their peripheral, they live long, very happy lives together. While only Joseph and Suzie are married in the eyes of the law, the three of them had a much more private, quiet wedding for all three of them and their closest friends and family.

They take days one at a time, enjoying and cherishing every single one spent together. Eventually they even started a family together with the addition of their daughter Holly. They watched her grow up, go to school, fall in love, and even have a son of her own.

Life was good. They were happy.

And in the end, Joseph and Wammu were right by Suzie’s bedside, holding her hands as they bade her farewell.

They promise to meet her again. Just that it might take a while.

And she says she’ll wait an eternity if that’s what it takes

so fun idea for the Honor Bound AU

The final part of the fight with Kars goes basically the same, with him succeeding in his transformation and Joseph luring him away in the plane, yeeting Kars into space and crashing down into the ocean. The only difference I can see is Wamuu being the one to break the Stone Mask, almost as a direct contradiction and opposition to Kars

However, what if this time Joseph wasn’t found by Suzie. Who knows where he lands, but it’s not by Air Supplena Island and is instead with some people who are completely uninvolved ~~maybe for a bit of meta it could be Bucciarati’s family but when his father was a young boy~~. And Joseph, while he did spend almost two months in Italy, doesn’t know enough Italian to explain his situation nor is he even strong enough to get out of bed. He’d probably spend a couple days completely passed out and it would take even longer before he would be healthy enough to leave. Plus, given the location and time period, it’s unlikely that they would have a phone

So this time, EVERYONE thinks he’s dead

And admittedly Wammu…. doesn’t take it very well. He knew that Joseph would die eventually, he was merely human, but he’d been hoping that he’d have a few decades with him at least. He’d hoped he’d be able to see Joseph live his life, to be happy, to grow old

But instead, it was as short and bright as a shooting star, barely a blip in the endless expanse of sky

I can see this becoming a bit of a turning point for Caesar and Lisa Lisa when they see Wamuu’s reaction. There’s always been tension between the three but now…… well, it’s hard to see someone grieving as a monster, especially after hearing what he’d done during the fight with Kars

And yes, they all see the irony in only being able to be friends after Joseph’s death, when he’d spent the last few weeks doing what he could to help them bond

Yeah-

admittedly I’m a tad torn. On one hand we could have Joseph be smart enough to put the pieces together and realize they’re attending his funeral and just book it over shouting at them, or we can have it play out like canon. The first option could have there be a a silly moment of Joseph yelling at them from a distance and someone comment “I can still hear his voice” only to get body slammed with a Joestar HugTM

Wammu flat out refuses to be separated from him for weeks after, and the mother hening is only made worse when he learns that Joseph isn’t as 100% yet and still injured

And just. Caesar and Wammu double teaming him so Joseph actually gets rest. At some point it leads to an exchange like “you know, I’d be happier that you guys are getting along if you weren’t uSING IT AGAINST ME-” “it’s called mutual goals, Jojo”

Joseph absolutely rushes his healing to try and find everyone else faster- by the time he reaches Air Supplena they've all left and he doesn't know where to besides presumably home to NY? And getting over there while still injured, across several countries, with essentially nothing on him to start, is an ordeal to say the least.

He gets there, there's the fight and/or joyful reunion, Whamuu is ecstatic he's alive, everyone's flocking around him and celebrating-

Then he sways on his feet for a second and asks everyone to back off, and Caesar starts to notice that he's actually still pretty scraped up, and wow he doesn't look great right now and-

And he passes out and terrifies everyone YET AGAIN.

Between Erina's terror of the Joestar Curse, Caesar feeling like it was his fault, Lisa Lisa's whole deal, and Whamuu's newfound fear of human fragility, he is going precisely nowhere until he is FULLY healed this time.

Joseph leaves the Bucciarati’s as soon as he can(not without thanking them extensively and promising to repay them) and after way too much traveling than was strictly healthy he arrives at Air Supplena…… but it’s empty because everyone left to the US to prepare for the funeral.

He’d probably poke around the whole place for a couple hours and have a “…..well now what?” moment. Maybe he’ll briefly pass out for a quick 24 nap thinking they’re out in town but then realizes that they either aren’t coming back or aren’t coming back for a decent while.

So New York is his next guess. And that’s going to take a bit because according to the internet, 1940 Flights were slow and sucked ass, and just going from one side of the US to another took about 25 hours, and Italy is MUCH further away than that

He probably has to poke around and take some of the money Lisa Lisa or Caesar probably had squirreled away because he sure as hell doesn’t have anything on him. By the time he finally gets to Granny and Speedwagon’s place, it’s ALSO empty and only by getting a passerby’s attention does he finally learn they’re at a funeral

And this time given the fact that Joseph knows that no one’s told them about his Not Being Dead thing, he’s probably able to put together the Oh Fuck They’re At MY Funeral, and BOOKS it over to correct them because He Is Very Much Not Dead Yet

And keep in mind this whole time he still hasn’t gotten a prosthetic arm and needs a cane for support because his bones are still Unbreaking themselves and in the last few days he hasn’t given them enough rest to continue healing

All in all it’s surprising he didn’t pass out sooner
