Top 5 Disney Villian Deaths for which Top 5 JoJo Villains?

oooooooooo this is an interesting one, but I'm definitely gonna have to think on this one (also these definitely isn't in order because I was having a lot of trouble weighing the jojo villains vs disney villains so I just decided "screw it" and put them in the order I made the pairs)

1) Pucci with Scar because I like the idea of him winning for a period of time but failing to satisfy the goals of those working for him since he lacks Dio's charisma and in the end when he throws them away because of his power, when he's weakest those very same minions end up being the ones to tear him apart

2) not technically a death but Diavolo with Jafar, because I like the idea of him gaining ultimate power, ie the Arrow, but having that very same power being his undoing (however if you wanna get technical, he does die as a genie in the sequel to Aladdin so.... it might count?)

3) Kars with Maleficent's defeat, pretty much just for the Cool Factor. Not much reasoning I can give here except for the fact it'd look cool as hell and ngl it sounds fun to draw

4) Kira with Shan Yu because of the fun symbolism to replace the ambulance irony. Him going out with a literal bang thanks to the fireworks and drawing so much attention to himself after he spent so much time and energy to not be noticed

5) this one isn't quite as similar as the previous but it'd be a CRIME to leave Dr.Facillier off a list of my favorite villains, so I'm pairing him with Dio and I do think it'd be interesting to have him be dragged away into the depths by the very dark powers he chose to tamper with

and also as a sort of +1 at the end because I liked the idea but REFUSE to say Valentine is a favorite of mine so

+1) Valentine with Madame Medusa's (she the villain from Rescuers Down Under) because I want this man to be eaten alive by crocodiles <333

I just had an epiphany

While I was in the car going back home, I started thinking about your "this stand is the ghost of someone" AUs

And out of nowhere this idea hit me

AU were Nicholas is Johnny's Tusk

The angst potential, Esbee

Avatar

E Y Y O

I

Yes

yes on every possible level of the word holy shit this is fucking PERFECT

O U G H just. Nicholas being so confused as to who this person is at first but then realizing it's Johhny, his precious beloved little brother. It crushes him seeing how bitter and angry he's become, and (correctly) assumes their father must have played some part in it

Nicholas hating his new body because of how small and weak he is and how he can functionally only act as a guide, unable to even use his apart powers himself. Only Johnny can use the abilities, so he's stuck watching his little brother get caught up in danger again and again

his size is good for one thing at least, and that's being able to stick close to Johnny without others seeing. He's out almost constantly, usually hovering over Johnny's shoulder and just. Being there in a way he grieves he couldn't have before

And of course Johnny's just confused as hell about his Stand's behavior and low key annoyed at how clinging it's being

I think it’s kind of ironic in a sad and symbolic that Johnny was using spin, something that is based on the golden ratio, to reach a „zero“ when it just halves what is there. It never subtracts.

why have you inflected this thought upon me my brain is thinking of too many things-

Avatar

okay so I went on a walk and my brain started rotating the Merstars AU SO hard so I'm just going to yeet a bunch of random bullet point thoughts that I came up with and see what comes out of it-

  • the "world" the AU takes place isn't really like "real" life and is instead a super huge archipelago with hundreds of thousands of islands of varying sizes and kinds
  • Mers and other various Sea Magics are pretty well known as A Thing That Exists. Is it accepted? Depends on the location and the people, and Mer Hunters are unfortunately a pretty common thing, but it's slowly started dying out. This is actually thanks to Speedwagon since after Jonathan's death he started trying to use his influence as a Very Important Wealthy Merchant to change public opinion, and it's actually been working
  • Jonathan was a pretty well loved and very social member of the mers. He wasn't their leader by any means, but almost every mer in the archipelago knew about him, and his murder pissed a LOT of people off. Luckily thanks to Speedwagon, since then relations have gone from "it's on fucking sight" to "don't approach me and I won't approach you"
  • Morioh is one of the more isolated islands and a bit of an exception to the above thing, being the most accepting island in the whole archipelago. Honestly, at this point like half the town has at least a little mer blood in them, but they are primarily human passing. There are a couple of full blooded or half blooded mers that hang around, but Josuke was one of the first ones born in the town in a long while
  • currently debating how exactly the Morioh Trio are gonna be, since I want them to be a "full blood, half blood, human" trio for the funnsies, but other than Josuke I don't know which should be which. My current thought process is 1) Okuyasu is the full blooded and when he was younger he had a run in with Hunters which is where his scars came from since his dad more or less just fucked off and left him at their mercy at which Keicho had to save him which led to the two of the moving to Morioh, Koichi is the human and is Their Little Guy, is super familiar with how to work around mers and climbs them like a god damn jungle gyms, or 2) Koichi is the full blood and a really small mer but still Big for humans, he's a cuttlefish, got separated from his family when he was little which led to him being adopted by the Human Hiroses and Okuyasu is human and the resident Normie Guy, he's recently moved to Morioh and is getting used to how Positive human mer relations are here
  • still trying to figure out how the Stand Arrows work, since Stands..... aren't really a thing now. Probably some kind of super powerful Sea Magic thing going on, maybe turn partial mers/humans into full blooded ones?
  • the "Italy" of this world is a collection of islands that are under Passione's control, aka a group of pirates that have a literal fleet. Diavolo and Doppio are brothers, with Diavolo being a half-mer (maybe lion fish? I'm still deciding tho) and Doppio being a full human. Doppio is the face of the operation, but his brother is always lurking in the depths below the ship and even makes a couple appearances as the True Boss in human form. Trish is by extension 1/4 mer and they want to kill her so the truth about Diavolo won't get out
  • Passione, despite all the shitty stuff they do, is actually a surprising area of Human Mer teamwork. There are a lot of hybrids and even full blooded mers to the point they're almost the majority. For the most part people don't care what you are as long as you get your job done, and honestly if what they did wasn't drug trade and trafficking, they'd be pretty cool
  • the Bucci Gang don't have a whole lot of mer blood, and any they do have is pretty distant to the point they're almost human save for a couple little features (they also don't get full transformations), with the exceptions being Trish and Giorno. Trish I've explained, but Giorno is...... Really Really Weird with what he is. His birth mom was a mer, but Dio had mostly been using her to try and lure other mers so by the time Giorno was actually born she was killed. Giorno was then taken in by the Shiobana's, which obviously sucked ass, but he was able to pass as a human for a shocking amount of time because Sea Vampire Genes fucked with his aging, so he also looks a lot smaller than he should be. He's also been forced to stay in his "human" form for much longer than is strictly healthy which ALSO fucked with his size and health
  • Giorno is gonna be a giant sea snake, because I think it'll be funny because That's The Traditional Sea MonsterTM. Maybe during the final fight with Diavolo he gets shot with the arrow and falls off the ship all dramatic and everyone thinks he died but SIKE he suddenly grows to full Absolutely Fucking ENORMOUS Size And Kicks Ass
  • Jolyne is a siphonophore, I don't make the rules, she's Really Fucking Long

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I love the idea of Risotto having the power of Spiney. If I can throw my own two cents in, my first idea was to make him some kind of sea urchin, just to give him a little bit of poison, but the idea of combining that with some pufferfish is too goo to pass up. Maybe for some Extra Fucked Up Horror Bits, the spikes just kinda..... slide out of his skin. He doesn't puff up very much because of his size so just looks like hundreds of needles are sliding out of his skin (it wrecks absolute hell on his clothes though, which is why he prefers to wear loose fitting clothes if he has to (cough skirts and capes cough)). Maybe to get away with more bits of transformation, he could have some mer blood in her? Not enough to full transform, but enough to give him some of the abilities, and to explain why he's So Goddamn Tall

For Prosciutto, technically Fugo's already a reef stonefish, but the sea has no shortage of poinsonous animals to pick some, or we could even just. Make him a different kind of stone fish. And Ghiaccio is just one big fucking Y E S. This man is basically immune to any kind of cold and he's living for it. With Melone, I personally have a..... h u g e bias becuase I Fucking Love Manta Rays, and for shits and giggles I lowkey wana give him little antenae nubs Just Because. He's also the team naviagtor, but it took some time to figure out how to explain his Vibes to everyone else

With Formaggio I just had. The funniest idea, but in order for it to work he's going to need to be at least a half blooded mer: what if his mer transformation makes him smaller. With almost every other mer of his age, they would grow to at least some amount, but because of the kind of fish he turn into he ends up shrinking down instead. It's super helpful for sneaking him into places, but also a bit of a sore spot for him

And while I'm similarly lost to what to do with Illuso, you read my fucking mind with Pesci. Maybe he and Prosciutto were part of a family that specialized in hunting mers, but for some reason or another the two brothers ended up breaking off (Prosciutto thinks it's very ironic how things turned out for them). And despite his nerves and fears, Pesci is actually really good at hunting and knows a..... concerning amount of things about the subject

you know that one friend who knows Way Too Much about how to kill a person? Yeah that's Pesci but specifically with mers. For shits and giggles I like to imagine that he's surprisingly Calm whenever he talks about the best ways to hunt, corner, and secure various kinds of mers. Like, he knows the best ways to hunt one with spines vs snake like ones vs very fast ones, etc etc, which leads to exchanges like:

Pesci: *explains something or other about the specific of dismembering a mer to maximize how much you can carry back while still priotizing the best parts*

Risotto and Formaggio, the only blooded mers on the team who didn't know that there was a specific set of glands in their bodies that was worth more than they made in a year that MANY people would kill for because it makes really nice perfume: well okay then :)

what if for 789, it's just in like. A different archepelego. Maybe a branch of the Joestar Family ended up migrating over there?

but that aside, I am absolutely ADORING the idea of the Steel Ball Run being a boat race instead. And speaking of, I've had some Thoughts for Johnny. Nothing to specific, but the general Vibe: what if Nicholas was killed by merhunters and Johnny was there during the attack which led to him being paralyzed. And maybe Tusk and Slow Dancer are a pair of large sea creatures that help him get around?

(who knows, maybe for the Theme of it, Johnny can be part seahorse-)

Gyro is definitly going to be a full blooded human, but maybe the kid he's trying to save could be part mer? Also I'm somewhat torn on whether Diego should be a human stabbed by the arrow or just part mer

and I LOVE the idea of the arrows being made of mer bones. The older the mer, the more powerful the magic, and let's say for a bit of fun the Joestar line has always had very strong magic in their blood. There are probably some limitations to how the bones can be used, after all if there wasn't then it'd been a tad overpowered, so maybe some mers have the bone and others don't?

Like, the bone is almost an "extra joint," metaphrically speaking. It's a small little piece at the core of a mer, right at the base of their spine where their torso meets their tail. As the magic flow through their body, their blood, their scales and skin as they transform, some of the excess might get..... stuck there. It's not harmful, and the mer won't even notice it, but the transformation magic will stay there, seeping into the bone down to its core

if the mer is too young or too inexperinced, the bone will be just like any other bone in the body. Only the elderly mer who've lived long, adventurous lifetimes will contain enough transformation magic for an arrow to be carved

.........hey, I just had an idea. So you suggested coelacanth because it's essentially a living prehistoric creature, right?

Well...... what if we just. Make Diego's species an extinct prehistoric one like how dinosaurs are now. Hell, maybe he could still be a dinosaur but instead of a raptor he's now an aquatic one

and while this is technically stretching the rules on what the arrows can do, we could just make it so that the "corpse parts" that everyones trying to get are specifically some positivley ancient mer bones that have a lot of power in them

anyways though, the point I'm trying to make is this: what if Diego's ability is that he can temporarily "infect" people into being mers that he can control, like how Scary Monsters works. However, it only works with people, not animals, and it's way more effective on those who are aren't already mers (via blood or the arrow)

Question for the Speedwagon Narrator AU: Does he continue to narrate into part 7 and beyond, does Stephen Steel get that honor, or do they co-narrate parts 8 and 9?

Avatar

I. Absolutely love the idea of Speeds and Steel co-narrating, that sounds like so much fun

but ALSO....... this opens the possibility of Yasuho and Jodio both getting in on this, being the narrators of parts 8 and 9 respectively

do I know where to go with this idea? No not really, however Speedwagon is too powerful to be felled by a mere universal reset, his ability is beyond our mortal comprehension

Speedwagon, just finding himself in a new universe and trying to process what just happened: WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!

Lucy Steel, the one able to hear his voice this season: what was that?

my brain was set on cringe mode again today 🤡

so actor au BUT stands are an actual thing that's real but the rest are fictional. The characters are fictional, the story is fictional too, while stands are a thing.

Avatar

FHDBFHDBFHDBF

Okay so I’m seeing two possibilities for how that could go for actors:

One, they just write in the actor’s Stand as being the characters and slightly change the performance of the ability as needed to make it line up with the plot/character better. Like, say a Stand has the ability to manipulate weight, they instead portray it as just being able to make things heavier

Or Two, Stand Props and makeup are now a thing and they use special affects to make it look like it’s doing a different thing entirely

Also, so many different kinds of Stand would have it absolutely MADE in the special affects/theater tech and crew industry

Ooh, I have some ideas for actors' stands that could mimic canon stands in some way or another (otherwise known as "we have *stand* at home".)

Echoes: Shapeshifting, both itself and objects around it.

The Hand: Folding.

Kiss: Illusory copies.

The Emperor: The gun isn't a stand. The bullets, however...

Purple Haze: The gas causes mild nausea.

Spice Girl: Elasticity instead of general softness

RHCP: Electricity is less powerful. Not actually Akira's stand, but they get along (to the dismay of everyone.)

Jotaro's stand: Not actually Star Platinum. It changes wind currents. Very useful for 'stand jumps' and also the only reason the Enya fight ended the way it did. Joot might also have been on effects duty outside of parts 3-6.

FGBTYHGTDBDT OH I LOVE THAT-

I had another idea for Purple Haze if you will: what if it's just. Colored smokescreens. It can control the color and how thick the smoke is with minimal affects to those who breathe it in

Love Deluxe actually has a manifestation and has an ability along the lines of "string manipulation" which works great for Yukako

there are actually LOADS more Sex Pistols and they like to swap out between scenes for shits and giggles

Manhattan Transfer actually has an ability, being essentially a magic key ring

Sex Pistols was originally manifested for like. An assault rifle. There are multiple bloopers of #4 deciding to jump out and "scare" Mista.

Fugo joins the 'outside-of-part special effects crew' gang. He and Jotaro work very well together.

YESSSSSSSSSS

the Pistols are just as chaotic and insane as they act in the show and they’re not ashamed of it, and Mister sloppy begins to adopt and get attached to them

and just. OUGH I love the mental image of Jotaro and Fugo working together. With Not-Star’s wind and Haze’s Smoke, they’re single handedly responsible for like. 95% of every Colored Magic Cloud affect in the entire show. Not-Star's wind is perfect for shaping and making them move just right, and Fugo's smoke is perfect for making any misty smoke they could ever need

Ooh a few more ideas!

Kira 8 was always Sheer Heart Attack's User, he was one of the many stand users who 'lent' their stand. Killer Queen is a played by an actor in both parts though.

D4C's normal ability is just the hiding part of its canon ability, no alternate timeline nonsense involved. Just the ability to hide in between two objects.

Scary Monsters is not a Stand. They just had trained dinosaurs on hand because a completely different Stand brought them back to modern day. Dinosaurs are just A Thing in this universe that people have gotten used to.

Trish is the younger relative of Diavolo and Doppio, and heaven help you if you hurt her because the devil and his aide will have no mercy.

HRBVHDRBSHVSBRVS OH I LOVE THIS-

only Tusk Act 1 exists and it's ability actually a has to do with clinging to someone, the rest of the Acts were either puppets or people in suits

Doppio and Diavolo are siblings and Trish is their cousin, and plot twist all three of them agree Doppio is The Terrifying One, which Doppio takes a lot of pride in

Paisley Park is Yasuho's twin sister and on the days they're feeling chaotic they pretend to be each other off set (there have also been a few times when they've accidentally be confused for the other by production staff. Yasuho actually corrects them, Paisley on the other hand waits to see how long it takes from them to notice)

Either Diego or Ferdinand or both were originally not going to play the part they did. They were just the dinosaur trainer/trainers, but it turned out they had enough of a knack for acting and there were enough complications with casting that they were able to take part.

Many of the stone-body special effects for Rock Humans and the Higashikata curse are done by Holy's stand. Some of the staff jokingly call her the medusa of the silver screen. Jury's out on whether or not she likes it, but nobody's spent a day as a statue yet so... (she also helped out with the Angelo sequence in part 4).

Originally Josefumi was going to play Gappy's part as well, and Gappy was just his stunt double/stand source, but then Josefumi got another gig and couldn't spend as much time at the film lot so Gappy got the part. He does surprisingly well.
