I need more Phantom Blood content (,,>﹏<,,)
my contribution to the phantom blood fandom
What if in Beastars, after Emporio beats Pucci, Pucci only manages to scratch him before he dies, thus Emporio gets turned into a Werebeast himself, makes angst potential, i imagine a lion eagle hybrid, more lion like but with wings but also some ram horns as a reminder of Weather, he’s basically a bird kitten. Maybe he becomes protective of Irene and the others.
Made better if Irene and Jotaro are still Werebeasts in the new world, maybe some werebeast cuddles.
OOOOOOOOOOO YESYESYESYESYESYES
(also as like..... a way to explain this occuring without having to explain why no other enemies of the Joestars have been turned, maybe there are a couple requirments that have to be met, such as it being during a full moon among other things, and maybe even then the chances are relatively slim)
Now, I will say I do want to change some aspects of the animals you've assigned Emporio, if only to stop too much over lap. The ram works fine because of the implications of it, but I believe Jonathan is already part lion and Josuke is already a griffin of sorts
maybe we could try tying Emporio to the three werebeasts he interacts with? So a ram for Weather and Pucci, either a wolf or gator from Jotaro (I'm not sure which since one would give him SUPER fluffs but the other would let him swim better), and butterfly wings from Jolyne
and just. Imagine the day they find Emporio at the bus stop eith a somewhat brutal looking and very fresh slash on his arm. It's only natural that they'd all be concerned, especially when Emporio only explains it as far as "I was attacked by an animal" without any more context
and just. Who knows how it goes for him. Maybe it starts as little things while still a human that he always writes off as because of his newfound freedom. He enjoys meat more than he did before? Well, of course he does, meat had been a luxury he rarely got and now he gets to pick what to eat. He likes climbing trees and being in the open air? It's a good vantage point and he's never been able to climb trees before. He feels more comfortable with his blankets and pillows piled up in a nest? Probably for safety and as a trauma response, he remembered reading some books about it
but of course, everything comes to head that first full moon he spends with the Joestars
The plan had been for Jotaro and Jolyne to leave the house while Marina stayed with Emporio. They wanted to slowly ease him into it, and full moon nights would be akin to throwing him straight into the deep end. Of course, Emporio already knows what they are, but he doesn't say anything and plays dumb for their benefit
and Marina was ready for a calm, quiet night. It had been some time since her husband and daughter had spent the entire night away, but she understood why and was happy to help
what she was not ready for was for Emporio to start screaming the second the sun set
can you imagine how terrifying this would be for both parties? Emporio because what's happening what's going on why does everything hurt why is his body change like this it hurts it hurts it hurts- and Marina is freaking out because Yeah An Eleven Year Old Screaming In Your Living Room Is Going To Make You Panic
what's even more....... Marina's never seen this kind of reaction before. Jotaro and Jolyne always shifted with confidence, with certainty, with control. They always knew exactly what they were doing and what was going to happen
but this? This could not be further from that
it also doesn't help that Emporio's panic doesn't really leave even after the shift is done. Now it's just less coherent and more erratic which is fun for Marina to deal with
her one saving grace is that Emporio is still relatively small and thus doesn't actually try to hurt her. He more or less runs around for about an hour before hiding himself under a piece of furniture, at which Marina starts slowly making it clear she isn't a threat. Near the end of the night he actually falls asleep in his hiding spot and Marina has to fish him out so he won't hurt himself when he changes back
but yeah, Jotaro and Jolyne are in for the realization of a lifetime by the time they get back
Oh two bits of lore from my standard weredog Jonathan AU that could also work well in BeastStars -
- first few times transforming DO hurt, it gets better the more you transform/ the more comfortable with it you get
- if it was inherited prior to Jonathan, it's from Mary's side of the family, leaving George in the dark about it after she dies, further setting him up to be a shitty parent on account of making all the wrong guesses about what to do
Yessssssssss
Emporio has such a bad time </3
young children have the slight benefit of their bodies being more flexible to change and thus more accepting of the change. Emporio tho....... while he's definitely still allowed some of that protection, he's also old enough that there is still quite a lot of pain he has to go through from just how foreign this is. It also doesn't help he was under a LOT of stress during the shift on account of the fact he had zero clues what the hell was going on, leading to him writhing and getting his limbs caught on his surroundings
it was honestly a miracle he didn't accidentally hurt himself that badly, but he is going to wake up in the morning with a couple bruises and aches. Not to mention the whole conversation that's gonna have to be had-
at least as you mentioned, with time and practice it gets better
as for Mary, that's definitely a really fun idea to play with and can lead to SO many sillies. I'll admit, in my head I'd been having it as either Jonathan got bit by A Weird Animal when he was younger, or for a slightly different spin on things it had been George who passed on the were genes
How JoJo really figured out that Dio was poisoning his dad
I haven't seen much people talk about the wheel of fortune fight for Jonaplat yet and I'm just like???? There's just so much brainrot and angst potential in this because Jonaplat's already obvious pyrophobia and this project's into jotaro's feeling aswell. And even with Jotaro still escaping using his cloak trick but that still gotta hurt with fire being burned inside of you
like...that's gotta hurt....
and this might get jotaro himself atleast a little pyrophobia....
HEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEH YESSSSSSSSSSSSS

just. The whole time it happens Jonathan is loosing his fucking mind because neither of them had time to prepare. Things were fine and then they weren't and before they could blink the both of them were covered in a raging inferno that blazed and burned their skin without mercy. Burrowing underground was less of a thought out plan and more terrified desperation to escape from the heat any way they could
this is also going to add even more horror and fear on Joseph's end witnessing this happen, since right now he'd be the only person who knows just how scared Jotaro is of fire. Kakyoin, Polnareff and maybe Anne might've been able to pick up on how he seemed to have some kind of aversion to it, but only Joseph knows what happened in that jail cell. Only Joseph knows how Star Platinum had lashed out, eyes wide and unseeing and terrified, how Jotaro was on the verge of a panic attack, how since then his grandson had always kept a close eye on Avdol and Magician's Red and its flames when it was present
he knows how much fire scares Jotaro and he has to watch him nearly die by one of the things that scares him most
he definitely hovers around Jotaro for the next couple days, which Jotaro hates but is too shaken up (not that he'll admit it) to fully reject it. Jonathan is also on a hair trigger in the following days and will jump out for "protection" if so much as an unlit lighter or candle gets too close
Jonathan also takes REALLY good care of Jotaro's burns. Like, almost religiously. He knows some things that Erina taught him and he uses that knowledge combined with some modern stuff to make sure none of the burns get infected and stuff. This behavior honestly adds more to the "What The Fuck Is Up With My Stand" list in Jotaro's head, but there's no way in HELL he'd let anybody else treat these specific injuries so he lets it go
Wrote A Thing for this. Ended up pausing for several weeks sometime in the middle and frankly feel like there's more to explore here but I'll post it as is cause I need a win.

Jotaro and Jonathan are having such an awful time and I adore that <33333
Top 5 saddest moments in jjba?
oh boy here we go-
(also just a heads up, these are all based on when I was
1) First one's easy: the Stone Ocean ending. I was bawling my goddamn eyes out and I Was Not Okay for a long time and honestly I still get a little teary watching the finale even now. It's sad, but also hopeful in a way that makes the sadness even more apparent
2) Gyro's death and the aftermath........ god that one hurt a lot
3) Abbacchio's death because not only was there my own grief because he was one of my favorites of Golden Wind, but there was also the character's grief that pushed me over the edge and that fucking bus scene....... that one h u r t e d
4) I kinda have a tie for this one being a) Jonathan's death. I was rewatching Phantom Blood a bit ago and now that I've gotten more attached to Jonathan? His and Erina's goodbye killed me and I started tearing up, and b) Holy's death in Jojolion and Gappy calling her mom....... fuck that hurt
5) Caesar's death, simply because I was not at all prepared for it. It completely blindsided me so those emotions came out of nowhere and I wasn't able to prepare
Been thinking more about BeastStars AU.
Specifically, as regards how they'd get along with other animals of the same types in their human form.
Many thoughts, but main one coherent at this moment is Joseph working together really well with other corvids.
Like, they know both forms are him, that he's kinda in part a similar creature but not all the way. He's surrounded by the local crows frequently. They tip him off if they spot anything he might want to know about and bring him shiny/cool object, and he feeds them and helps heal them, both with hamon and just things being easier with opposable thumbs.
Caesar initial confrontation with him involves Caesar approaching him with intent to fight first and finding him surrounded by crows, and talking to them /with crow noises./
But air supplena island is not a great place for the crows. They still fly over to check on him once in a while, but there's just not a good environment for them. So he's cut off from that too.
My other main thought on 'interacting with other animals of same kind' is it'd be funny if other sheepdogs were none too fond of Jonabeast because their flocks like him better. Thus leading to Small Jonabeast getting harassed by other dogs until Danny comes to help and then he gets Big.
Also it'd be funny if random other people's sheep kept following him home when in Beast Form.
JSRBDVJSDBVJSBEVS YESSSSSSSSS
oh my god that's absolutely hilarious and I positively adore it
just. For as long as Joseph could remember, he'd always just been good with corvids and whatever other birds would find themselves on his window sil. He's basically got his own communication network in New York and gets all sorts of gossip from all around. And sure he wouldn't say no to helping out injured birds, he also won't say no to Shiny Trinkets being brought as gifts
I like to imagine that Joseph's horde is honestly really big. There's not much in there with monetary value, mostly things like bottle caps, metal bits, shiny rocks and the like, but every once in a while he'll get a gem or jewlery or two, which I'd imagine he usually gifts to Erina
speaking of gifting, I'd imagine that Joseph was SUPER picky on when and what he'd gift. He only ever gave things from his horde to those he really trusted and cared for, and for years that was only Erina and Speedwagon, with the addition of Smokey somewhere down the line.
and I'm gonna be honest, I love the idea of when Joseph arrives in Italy the first thing he does is introduce himself to the local corvid population. It's a little weird having to work from the ground up after having his network for so long, but it's a welcome challenge and fun meeting so many new birds
I also like to think that during their fight Caesar is just. BURIED in corvids, just because I think I'd be funny if there were way more corvids in this AU than there were pidgeons in canon. Just for the shits and giggles
but also ough Joseph's going to be so freaking lonely-
Honestly? it wouldn't surprise me if Joseph got a little claustrophobic on Air Supplena. He wouldn't be able to fly and the only way on and off the island is the occasional boat, leaving him functionally trapped in a way he's never really been before. Sure the island's big but it's not that big, especially for someone as active as Joseph
I'd imagine whenever Joseph gets any visitors he treats them as well as he can. Snacks, preening, maybe even a little hamon boost to chase the fatigue away, anything to make their trip worth it so they'd keep coming back. I'd imagine he asks them all sorts of questions...... but one of the most prevelant one is about the flight over. What did the sea look like, how many clouds were there, were the wind currents rough or smooth, what did the island look like from above, etc etc
(this behavior ofc confuses the HELL out of Caesar and he honestly has no idea what any of it means. He already thought it was strange how much Jojo seems to like corvids, but this....... this was weird in it's own way. And who knows, maybe for a tad of fluff, Joseph ends up teaching Caesar how to care for birds)
but also switching gears to a much more lighthearted topic, the idea of sheep just liking Jonathan's vibes is hysterical to me and I love it so much-
also for Bonding Reasons, what if the reason Jonathan had such a hard time with Danny in the begining is because of his previous difficulties with dogs? He wasn't super stoked about his father giving him one, but eventually he and Danny bonded and grew incredibly close as a result
also, I love the mental image of a Tiny Beast Jonathan following Danny around and that habit sticking with him even when he's substancially bigger than him
Hello! :D
Top 5 favorite JoJos?
Hi :DDD
1) Jotaro, I'm sure to nobody's surprise. What can I say, I love this traumitized ocean man <3
2) Joseph, because he's just...... so fucking chaotic and silly but also cares SO damn much
3) Gappy, this silly little amnesiac is such a funky dude, he's trying his best and also has one of the arguably healthiest romatic relationships in this whole series
4) Jonathan, I've definitely been endeared to this silly gentleman because of all the AUs and fics I've come in contact with-
5) Giorno, because just. He's so traumitized but also gets a crime found family to help him out with it
More Assorted Star Swap thoughts, this time about part 6 (with Jonathan being swaped in for Jolyne) For the brief time that he is part of the story, part 6 Jotaro will be experiencing…. Emotions, that’s for sure. He enters Green Dolphin feeling prepared. Get in, rescue his daughter, and maybe beat up a few of Dio’s goons on the way out.
And then instead he has to deal with this:
Jonathan: So, there’s no easy way to say this Mr. Kujo, but my name is actually Jonathan Joestar, and I seem to be… possessing your daughter’s body.
Jotaro: ….
Jonathan: Mr. Kujo?
Jotaro: …
Jotaro has been dealing with stand bullshit (trademarked) for years, so he probably isn’t that surprised by anything anymore, but he definitely doesn’t wasn’t expecting this. Why is his great-great-grandfather’s mind inside of his daughter’s body? More importantly, where is his daughter’s mind? Unfortunately, Jonathan doesn’t have the answer. Even more unfortunately, Jotaro can never gets the time to figure this out before he gets his memories and stand stolen.
And Jonathan… I think he’d be a little hesitant about going back to Green Dolphin after the escape. Sure, he wants to stop evil, and that fact that these people, all the way in the distant future of 2011, are apparently servants of Dio, doesn’t sit well with him.
But on the other hand, he is endangering a body that isn’t his. This girl, who apparently is one of his descendants, didn’t ask for any of this. Who is he to make this decision for her, to throw her body into danger like this? (Being unaware of the fact that Jolyne would be just as willing to throw herself into danger)
Obviously, the rest of the Star Swap Stone Ocean needs to happen, so Jonathan’s desire to stop Dio’s evil overcomes his concerns, but I still think Jonathan ends up being much more careful and defensive during fights. Not because he’s worried for his own life, but because he doesn’t know when he’s going to switch back, and he wants Jolyne’s body to be as good as new when that happens.
Yesssssssssssssssss
Jotaro just. Stares at Jonathan for several seconds and for a moment Jonathan's worried he doesn't believe him but then he lets out the longest, most exausted sounding sigh Jonathan's ever heard
Jotaro's So Fucking Exhausted He Didn't Sign Up For Any Of This He Just Wanted His Family To Be Safe God Dammit-
luckily/unluckily he recognizes the fact that there is nowhere near enough time nor it is safe enough to stay here and ask questions, so he decides to go ahead with his plan to get "Jolyne" out and to the Foundation. After all, they deal with all sorts of magical fuckery, they might know what to do here
the escape is definitely Awkward since their of them really know what to say, but you're abslutely right in that Jonathan freaks out a bit when he learns but canon does go the same way with Jotaro getting his brain and Stand yoinked and him going comatose
and just. OUGH I love the idea of Jonathan hesitating to go back. His morals are gonna be clashing so freaking hard because on one hand there is a lot of danger inside those walls and he doesn't want to endager Jolyne, but on the other he doesn't want to abandon Mr.Kujo like this. The man came here to save his daughter, and he's now in a state like death because of how he wasn't the woman he came for (ofc, this is how canon would have gone but Jonathan doesn't know that :3c)
✨Brothers✨
Thoughts on Jonathan and George's relationship:
Honestly, George always meant the best for Jonathan. Even when he was harsh he was trying to push Jonathan to be better as best he could, and he took a knife for Jonathan in the end- but still, it wasn't great for Jonathan.
But on the other hand, the dude was not equipped to handle this alone I think. With Mary's sudden and unexpected death, especially with my headcannon that the Joestar Family Neurodivergence came from her side, with the total lack of knowledge on that kind of thing in that era, he would have been hard-pressed to do better.
Then add in Dio, and hoo boy. He's not equipped to handle being a good parent with regards to Dio's trauma either, especially when he doesn't even know it exists, but he can't not take in Dio either, given the alternatives are Not Great and his own kind heart.
And Jonathan's feelings are... complicated. There's frustration at never quite seeming good enough, at the favoritism towards Dio, but also, he still loves George, still misses him after he dies. And for a long time, he probably internalizes a lot of it, thinking it was somehow him and not George.
It takes a long time for him to come to terms with the fact that even if George couldn't really have done much better, that doesn't affect the fact that Jonathan still deserved better. And I don't think he really internalizes that until he's raising George II and thinks about what George did with him from that perspective. (Though at the same time, he can see how, if he didn't have the knowledge he does about how his brain works differently from lived experience... he can see why George did what he did, even if it was dead wrong.)
Honestly I think the whole Jonaeriwagon trio might end up sort of reparenting themselves as they raise kids together- Jonathan realizing that he deserved better than what George did, even if George was doing as best he knew how, now Jonathan knows better, and can treat both his kid and his own inner child with that new knowledge and kindness. Speedwagon makes sure the kids have everything they want or need, spoiling them with gifts and love while also confronting how the scarcity he grew up under affected him, and starting to learn to treat himself now that he has the resources. And Erina, more headcannony, but empowering the kids to have more control and agency over their lives than she had, being dragged around continents with her dad, and that inner core of steel starting to become something she's more comfortable showing and working with as she teaches the kids to do the same.
I couldn't have worded it better myself and also I'm losing my mind (/pos) over these beautiful Jonaeriwagon headcanons because Y E S
the way I've always been thinking of George is sort of a "You Tried Your Best But It Was What You Thought Was Best." I don't doubt he loved Jonathan and Dio, but what he saw as helping them ultimately did cause a lot of harm
but also now I'm rotating so many soft things as they raise George II together-
Jonathan indulging George's interests, reading up on them so they have things to talk about, listening to him as much as he can to his son never feels unheard or shoved to the sidelines or like nobody believes him
Speedwagon always making sure George has what he needs but also teaching him how to value and safe guard what he has, giving him tips on the ins and outs of the seedier parts of the world in case he ever gets in a rough spot so he won't be caught off guard
Erina making sure it's absolutely clear that no matter what happens, no matter what embarassing or terrifying thing could be done to him, they will always love and respect him and that he could come to them for help, how he always can say no and fight back if he feels it's approprate

The fan theory that states that Jonathan’s ghost manifested into Jotaro’s stand is so funny to me because it leaves some goofy implications to think about.
More comics of this scenario will soon come.
the beastars deserve a cuddle pile. as a treat
THEY SURE AS HELL DO
Erina and Speedwagon lying ontop of Jonathan and sleeping together, listening to the rhythmic sounds of his breathing as it lulls them to sleep. Years later, the two do the same with Joseph, letting his coils wrap around them and let him use his wings to cover them, letting the bitter sweet memories wash over them as they hold their grandson so gently
Lisa Lisa and George II holding eachother so very gently in the night in their own little world together, love and caring and wishing this could last for an eternity. Just once Joseph was there with them, a tiny ball of scales and still growing wings
the night before they leave, Jotaro sitting by Holly's side, sitting vigil through the night and being just close enough that she can run her hands through his fur and scales. When everything's over he drags as many blankets and pillows as he can and for the first time in years sleeps by her side and Joseph joins them, coiling his enormous body around the pair and using his wings to create an almost protective cover
during Jotaro's visit to Morioh, Josuke gets to spend his full moon with someone like him for the first time. He sets up everything, builds the perfect nest to share out of immediate sight and protected and shows Jotaro his works, hesitant and shy and hoping Jotaro likes it. Jotaro barely thinks twice before corling up around Josuke, grooming his fur and feathers as gently as possible
sometimes on the nights where Jolyne is able to sneak out of the prision and Jotaro is close enough she'll ride on his back, wrapping herself around his body and listen to his breathing, a gentle reminder that he isn't dead or gone forever, just a little lost
I haven't seen much people talk about the wheel of fortune fight for Jonaplat yet and I'm just like????
