You know what I’ve been on a twelfth night musical kick so for your fanfic title game, here:

oh that one's E A S Y, the Echo Of Another vibes are strong with this one <3

Maybe one day Jotaro has to go do some Foundation stuff, and unfortunately everyone's busy and can't swing by to watch Emporio. He's of course fine with being left alone (he's really not but he's used to being alone, after all Weather and Anasui could spend every second with him), but they aren't super comfortable doing that and they really don't want to have to leave him with a random babysitter because they know that'll make him MEGA uncomfy

enter Eldis, who realises that today the restaurant isn't open and after a quick call she learns Gloria is free :D

so they drop Emporio off with her and just. While it's awkward at first, Gloria is kind and patient and suggests they cook something together. It's just the two of them in the kitchen as she goes over recipes, and along the way she starts to hum an old song

and maybe Emporio asks her about it and she teaches him. The words, the tune, the timing of it, and Emporio's never done anything like this before but it's fun and he's happy and at the end of it all they've got some freshly made food to enjoy as well :D

Star Swap: I might have mentioned this, but I love the idea of Jonathan semi-accidentally rallying the meeker prisoners like Guccio and Atroe, which means a lot given that the prison is largely led by a right-makes-right mentality. Because Jonathan is nice and caring and kind and (with some advice from Gwess and Ermes) not afraid to start punching people if need be. He may not have his old muscles but he still has his boxing skill and maybe his hamon? Can't remember when he was taken. Anyway, he manages to assemble a small following of prisoners, helping them so that they can eventually help themselves.

YESSSSSSSSS

while Jolyne's body may not have the pure muscle and intimidation factor that Jonathan's original one had he's far from helpless. As you mentioned there's the aforementioned Hamon and boxing, plus how Hamon would work really well with The Passion when he gets pricked

and it's definitely an accident at first. Jonathan couldn't help it! He wants to help people, no matter whether or not they can give him anything in return. And while he may not teach them Hamon (he realises pretty early on just how dangerous that could get if he taught others), he can teach them how to defend themselves and get away from danger

For a bit of fun chaos, I like to image there was an instance where two people he taught used the things he learned to pick on others and he marched his way over and started scolding the shit out of them. He gave them a flawless "I'm not mad just disappointed" look and speech like he was their parent or something and he looked to genuine and upset and oh god I feel so bad what the fuck was I thinking-

and just to add a but of extra fun spice to it, maybe one of the two ends up attacking him because You Can't Tell Us What To Do Short Stack only to promptly get their ass handed to them on a silver platter. Maybe even a broken bone or two........ but then when it's over Jonathan completely heals the opponent but leaves himself injured so when the guard shows up it looks like the fight was completely one-sided

was that a bit tricky of him to fool the guard like that? Yes, he feels terrible about it for days afterward and can't get the mental image of Dio out of his head, but he isn't going to just let this person use what he taught them to hurt people that just wouldn't be nice >:(

he doesn't even realise how many people he's befriended until Hermes makes a comment about it and he almost starts crying because he hasn't had this many friends EVER, he's still honestly trying to come to terms with the fact he has friends period

once again, I'm loving the mental image of Hermes and Gwess trying their absolute damnedest to just Keep Jojo Alive. They know he's powerful and that he should theoretically be able to handle himself, and most of the time he's honestly really reliable! He's surprisingly emotionally intelligent and knows just what to say....... but then right after he'll do the stupidest (/aff) shit imaginable and they'll remember "right, this is the same guy who thought the tv was trapping people inside and that blood letting was an acceptable medical treatment"

also, speaking of Atroe, I had a silly idea for how Foo slides into things: I think it would if they're just Body Buddies. That's it. Foo expressed interest in helping out Jonathan for the respect he showed them and Atroe was like "welcome to the club! Jojo's really cool and nice so I can't blame you, why don't you come with :D" and just lets Foo vibe in their body

would this work biologically? I don't think so, but also consider It Would Be Funny For The Sake Of The AU

As mentioned in that one comic, Atroe is absolutely fine with this because body jacking is a kind of kidnapping! She's living the dream.

...I wonder if prolonged exposure to F.F. causes Atroe to develop a stand of her own.

Also, Kenzō tries to make himself seem not as atrocious by comparing himself to Jonathan during his fight with Jonathan's group. This Does Not Work, because forming a group loyal to you by genuinely helping them and leading a suicide cult are two extremely different things.

Yeah :D

Foo and Atroe become such Buddies, but also I absolutely adore the idea of Atroe starting to get a Stand of her own. Maybe the Stand Genes™ end up affecting her and as it enters her body she slowly starts developing her own. Not really sure what exactly it would do but the idea is neat!

and YES with Kenzo, and to make things Even Worse, what if for a few seconds there Jonathan actually slightly believes him. Not about the murder cult or "we're the same" thing, but he starts getting some imposter syndrome a la "am I tricking them into being my friends?"

ofc, Foo, Atroe and Hermes all VERY violently disagree with this fact and make that very clear. They love Jonathan because he's Jonathan, nothing else. He hasn't tricked them in any way and they can and will kill anyone who tries to make him feel like he's not good enough to have friends who care

(also........ completely separate from the friendship aspect but this part of the arc just reminded me of Anasui's existence which is going to be. Interesting but also probably funny as shit)

Huh this AU is creating a lot of opportunities for Jonathan to address the self-esteem issues that Dio and George's treatment of him as a kid would inevitably cause but cannon never really touched on much.

Y e s

now, Jonathan would definitely be careful in how he goes about talking about it. After all, in the beginning he can’t exactly say it was his father who said all these things because he doesn’t want to throw Mr.Kujo under the bus for something he never did which just leads to him being really secretive about the whole thing, which honestly just raises more concern and suspicion

ironically enough, this is what starts to get him to really think about it and acknowledge what happened. After all, why would he need to defend Jotaro from his own father's actions if his father had really done nothing wrong?

and tbh, as Jonathan slowly starts to open up more and more about those parts of his childhood, this is....... once again going to just add more fuel to the Cult/Isoltaed Theory. The way Jonathan talks about how he was "home schooled" for his whole life except for college, how he describes Dio systematically isolating him from his entire community, how it felt like George was always looking down on him in favour of Dio

it is........ incredibly depressing for his friends to learn that being in prison has been the happiest and least lonely he's ever felt in years

but of course, on the flip side to all this, his friendships are surprisingly healthy ones, and they really do make his life better. He learns things about others and himself that he never could have, is able to enjoy the company of others, learns how to set healthy boundaries and when to recognise when he should distance himself

He ends up with a whole gaggle of older sister figures and hears about Ermes' motivation to avenge her sister and just has an 'oh so this is what good sibling relationships are like' moment hit him like a goddamn freight train.

(also, going to dredge up an OC- around when Legends Arceus came out I was tossing around the concept of a younger Jonathan going through the story and one of my ideas for one of his pokemon was the alpha snorlax in the first area, who, after his starter got knocked out and he tried to fight her himself, and kept going after she broke his arm thanks to Latent Hamon, decided Alright You're One Of Mine Now and was generally the zero impulse control, 'violence is a question and the answer is yes' member of the team, named Dee. She'd be fun to bring back here.)

O U GH I JUST HAD THE BEST/WORST IDEA FOR A THING WITH HERMES AND HOW THINGS WITH SPORTS MAXX GO-

just. Jonathan fighting by her side through it all, stubbornly refusing to let Hermes do this on her own. She's obviously hurting so very much and she's done so much to help him, it's only natural he'd care for her like this

and just. Hermes trying so hard to get him to leave, that she can handle this, this is her mission not his, and Jonathan just grabbing her by the shoulders and snapping back at her. Saying that he loves her, that she's everything in a sibling that Dio hadn't been and more, that she was doing all this to avenge her older sister so she should let him try to do the same for his

and this blunt, open love from Jonathan who always cared so deeply but was also hesitant to express it out loud in words........ something kinda clicks for Hermes. That somewhere along the way, Jojo became more than just her companion, her friend, and became her little brother, and the why to Gloria's decision to give up everything to protect her all those years ago suddenly becomes painfully clear

and for a brief terrifying moment as the ghosts fade away and Jojo cradles her in his arms, crying and shouting and begging her to stay awake...... it's like looking in a mirror

she remembers all those years ago when Gloria first died. She was angry, angry, angry...... but also terrified. She kept all of it buried deep inside, but it was always there, and Jojo was showing it in a way she was never brave enough to

she didn't want to die, she realised. Suddenly getting revenge for Gloria wasn't enough for her to be content with dying. She wasn't done with life yet.

if she died, Jonathan would have one less person by his side. One less person to make sure he took care of himself, to explain things he didn't understand about the world, to listen to his ramblings about archeology, to comfort him when he cried, to show him that just maybe the world wasn't quite as cold and cruel as she thought

she wondered if this is how Gloria felt when she died. If Gloria thought the same things she was thinking

she thinks Gloria would've like Jojo. She probably would've gotten Hermes to drag him to the restaurant and cooked him food, would've slowly explained how everything in the kitchen worked when he asked, would've taken them all shopping to pick out clothes Jojo was comfortable with

but Gloria wasn't here. And Hermes was

and Hermes decides the first thing she's going to do when she and Jonathan are free is to teach him how to cook Gloria's favorite dish

I like to think Emporio learns how to sew from Gloria when he and the others visit her and/or the restaurant, so he ends up making a plush version of FF plankton and always carries it around and holds it (and Weather Report) close when he needs to cry.

Also he’s probably afraid of dogs. I don’t think prison dogs are the nicest when they’re running around. He constantly runs to Irene or the alternate Wes and tries to hide behind them or jumps on them

Y E S

Gloria becomes like another older sibling to him and even helps him figure out the patterns to make the Plankton Plushy. She takes him to the store to get the right fabrics and thread and when he struggles with parts she helps guide him back on the right track. And even YEARS later he still has the same plush. He repairs it as needed, but he absolutely refuses to even entertain the idea of getting rid of it. Maybe he even makes plush versions of the rest of his friend's Stands

(Gloria finds their shapes and colors to be a little strange, but the plushes make Emporio happy in a way she rarely sees so she never asks)

((and if down the line they end up getting their Stands again...... yeah there are gonna be some questions))

and DFJVDJVBD OKAY NOW I HAVE THE MENTAL IMAGE OF EMPORIO CLAMBERING UP THE NEAREST PERSON LIKE A TREE-

but yeah Emporio really isn't a fan of dogs in the beginning. It takes him a bit to get used to them and after several instances of clambering up the nearest tall surface (which sometimes may or may not be a person) he slowly gets used to the fact that most dogs are really friendly

also speaking of animals, the aquarium and zoo are among some of Emporio's favorite places. There's just so many different animals that he's only ever seen in books and sometimes it's just flat out magical. When they take trips to the aquarium he likes to sit on Jotaro's shoulders and the two will go back and forth talking about the fish and what they know about them ✨✨✨

AU where Kakyoin and Dio become ghosts and end up haunting Jotaro. Dio was just doing it because he was bored and wanted to fuck with Joot, and Kakyoin was going to just pass on like a normal ghost but sticks around to try and negate whatever Dio does

The main thing keeping the two tethered to Jotaro is that because they chose to haunt Jotaro specifically, their power is sort of tied to him. The further they get, the weaker they are, and the more easy it is for them to end up accidentally passing on since the only “unfinished business” they have is related to Jotaro

Though to be fair, they aren’t too powerful to begin with. Even when they’re barely a few feet from Jotaro, the most they can do is move small items. This mostly leads to Dio doing whatever he can to cause small inconveniences and Kakyoin doing whatever he can to counteract those inconveniences. Or Kakyoin will try influencing things to make Jotaro’s life a tad easier and Dio will be trying to ruin those god things.

And from an outside perspective it looks. Fucking WILD

Let’s say Jotaro is sitting down in the college library, doing some important research for a paper. Dio will try pushing his pen off the table while Kakyoin will try to push it back. So from the outside, his pen is going absolutely mental, violently rolling back and forth across the table, sometimes in ways that shouldn’t be possible

Or another time, Jotaro’s walking down a hallway and suddenly a lightbulb starts falling from the ceiling the second he walks under it, only at the last second it suddenly swerves off to the side and misses him by a couple inches

Or another time, Jotaro ends up on a whim trying a “spin the wheel get a prize” type things at a carnival, and it just keeps spinning. And spinning. And spinning. Any time it slows down and almost lands on the best prize or the worst prize, it’ll just keep going. At one point it even changes directions.

Just this back and forth, several times a day, for years straight

It looks like Jotaro has simultaneously the worst luck and best luck of anyone they’ve ever seen.

Yeah that’s going to be. An experience

Given the nature of the prison, first off I’d guess that there are a lot of lingering spirits. Either ones hanging out waiting for revenge or waiting out of love so they can go to the after life together, there’d probably be a bunch hanging around

Kakyoin and Dio would probably be a bit surprised at first. Sure they’d crossed paths with a couple other spirits, but they’d never seen this many in one place

Unfortunately they wouldn’t be able to appreciate the new company very much because White Snake Doing A Little Trolling and bonks Jotaro into a coma. And unfortunately as much as they want to stay, albeit for very different reasons (Kakyoin to look out for and possibly help Jolyne, Dio to see if Pucci’s actually going to succeed in their plan), they’re unfortunately not going to be allowed to be present for a WHILE

However…… this doesn’t mean there won’t be any ghostly intervention going on

After all Perla Pucci, Gloria Costello, and Mrs.Alniño have many things they wish to get done and people they’d like to save

Gloria is mostly helping out just because Hermes got involved, but the other two? Yeah they have WORDS they’d like to exchange with Pucci

ghost fight Ghost Fight GHOST FIGHT GHOST FIGHT-

I’d like to imagine that the ghosts would be able to interact with and actually see the Limp Bizkit Ghosts, just to add a bit of extra fun and to them a bit of an easier time. Admittedly even with that I can’t see the fight itself going too differently, just that this time Gloria wouldn’t pass on because she still wants to watch over her little sister

Also, a bit separate from this idea but something I was randomly thinking about: what if Emporio’s mom’s Stand ends up getting involved somehow? Like. Maybe when they find Pucci’s stash and befriend Foof they end up also finding her disc. From what I remember I think it was mentioned/implied that her Stand was similar to Emporio’s, so that’s something we could possible play around with
