update
sorry ive been so inactive! i might pop in here and there but overall, this blog is pretty dead... feel free to continue to scroll through and check out the tags. i have a tag for pretty much anything magick related. this blog, in just the span of one year, has become basically full. wish me good luck in life!
Think of the witchy potential! you could make an ice bowl and fill it with herbs and/or flowers and/or stones to meet a specific purpose, and then fill it with water as a scrying bowl, or use it as an offering bowl, or as a spell! I’m so excited to do this!
The possibilities are endless for this!
ps if u boil the water first it won’t be all foggy!!!
This would be great for leaving offerings out in nature. You can still put them in a bowl, without littering. I think I’ll use it for making a midsummer offering at the river. I’ve been trying to work out what I can put offerings in that will float without littering.
50 ideas for a Grimoire
I collected these ideas (and others) from different sources. What you see here is what I think would be interesting to put in my Grimoire (because apparently people need to be told these things).
1 ) decorations ; a personalized cover (with a picture of the moon, a pentagram, your patronus or something else, or maybe just a nice flowery design or leather cover), using a glitter pen and stickers, pressing flowers between the pages, drawing, taping photos and other visual ideas.
2 ) protection sigil on the reverse of the cover (so people won’t read it without your authorization)
3 ) your craft name and your reason for choosing it
4 ) how you define your path, can include coven rules, the tradition(s) you follow and/or a personal set of magickal rules
5 ) wheel of the year / rituals you observe as the year passes
6 ) dedication to one or several deities you worship (or alternatively, what your relationship with deities is like, whether it’s a specific deity or deities in general)
7 ) on that note, myths and information regarding gods, godesses and deities that could be useful for you
8 ) moon phases, their correspondences and what they’re good and bad for
9 ) elements and their correspondences (including the minor arcana of tarot)
10 ) recipes. not just kitchen witchcraft recipes, but also potions, beauty and cleaning products, natural remedies, powders, salts for a bath, oils, etc.
11 ) herbs/plants/flowers and their correspondences
12 ) runes and their meaning
13 ) crystals and crystal grids
14 ) spells, of course
15 ) divination (tarot spreads and cheatsheet, pendulum, scrying, astrology, etc.)
16 ) a pendulum board
17 ) dream diary
18 ) ancestors ; where they are from, specific people you wish to honour, family tree, pictures, location of graves, etc.
19 ) familiars
20 ) tools in your practice
21 ) list of charges, wards, sigils, spells, wards and enchanted items you have currently active
22 ) sigils and how to make them
23 ) spirit work
24 ) color correspondences
25 ) chakras
26 ) myths, myhtological creatures and legends
27 ) folk tales from your zone
28 ) family traditions
29 ) your views on the afterlife
30 ) binding/banishing and your experience with it
31 ) a portrait of your shadow self (let’s get jungian)
32 ) fictional and/or real witches you admire
33 ) past lives, if you know of any
34 ) how to contact you from the afterlife after you’re dead
35 ) psychic abilities
36 ) pop culture magick
37 ) photos of nature
38 ) your own alphabet or secret code
39 ) a letter to yourself in the future and/or the past
40 ) altars and altar planning
41 ) magickal moments of your life
42 ) smells of witchcraft you love
43 ) descriptions of places from astral travel or meditations
44 ) reasons you started to be a witch, magickal goals
45 ) letter to a deity, an ancestor, etc.
46 ) what your followers would leave you as offerings if you were a deity
47 ) draw or collage your own tarot card(s) ; you can make them more diverse than the original!
48 ) creae a magickal creature that would be your familiar
49 ) spiritual diary (how a spell did or didn’t work, or a tarot reading, for example)
50 ) a shiny page to scry with

Witchcraft is all about intent.
Your spells can be single lines or words. Your sigils can be simple shapes. You dont have to have extravagant spells or rituals to be a witch. Simply thinking things can put things into action. You are powerful no matter how you practice. You. Are. Amazing.

👻TRICK or TREAT witchblr 🎃
a fun little game for the witchblr community, taking place OCT. 1st - NOV. 1st.
please tag all answers or related posts #trick or treat so people can blacklist the tag if they want to avoid it
how it works:
- reblog this to let people know you’re participating!
- you can stop at any time though, and please don’t feel pressured to answer all of them if it becomes overwhelming.
- when you receive an ask that says “trick or treat”, reply with either a “trick” or a “treat”, perhaps use a random generator to decide which.
TREATS:
sigils, tarot reading, shufflemancies, drawings, simple spell or charm, witch tips, or whatever you can!
TRICKS:
silly gifs, cat pictures, rickrolls, random pictures, memes or whatever. please don’t use gore, flashing, or sexual images!
please don’t spam people for treats!! // please be kind and respectful!!
I … I think I had a bit too much fun making this in gimp.
Anyway, The Princess Bride. If you’ve never read or seen it, all you need to know is that true love is the best thing in the world, next to cough drops, but also that life is pain, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Fortunately, this spread prepares you for both! Use it to test the strength of your current relationship, or as a forecast for possible things to come. Or whatever. I’m not your boss.
1) Once upon a time – the beginning of your relationship. This might represent one of you, both, all, or it could be referring to the circumstances that brought you together.
2) The Foundation – what your relationship is built upon, what gives the relationship strength.
3) The First Trial – Relationships have their ups and downs. This is a down, and you might want to prepare for it.
4) The Mask – An aspect of your Love(s) that you may not be aware of.
5) The Prince – A person, persons, or perhaps just an unfortunate set of circumstances, that pose a threat to your relationship.
6) The Second Trial – Another issue you might want to prepare for. The issue will likely be connected to the Prince card.
7) The Friends – Unlike the Prince, this card represents the forces that help keep your relationship together.
8) Happily Ever After – Where will this relationship end up?
I tested this spread on the main characters – Westley and Buttercup, and got a hilariously accurate result, so hopefully the spread will do good by the rest of y’all, too.
This is one I definitely want to try this year!
i need to follow more fellow witches
please reblog if you’re a witch (or generally interested in the craft) looking to gain a new follower 🖤

🎃Ways to Celebrate Samhain👻
Samhain is the celebration of the final harvest and the honoring of the deceased that is celebrated on October 31st.
👻 Hold a dumb supper to honor the deceased. Invite your family to join and honor your loved ones who are gone. 👻 Make an altar, offering, prayer, or something special to honor the deceased or to honor the holiday 👻 Prepare for the winter by stocking up on herbs and powders and throw away old, unusable tools 👻 Decorate in red and black colors, pumpkins, cornstalks, apples, and candles around the house and on an altar 👻 Visit and tend to the graves of relatives 👻 Now is the ideal time to do any spirit work as the veil is exceptionally thin 👻 Do a divination reading to gather insight for the upcoming months 👻 Make a bonfire and share stories of late loved ones with your family and friends 👻 Take the time to embrace nature before winter wilts the plants 👻 Harvest any herbs or goods from plants and properly store them away or use them in a spell 👻 Now is a great time to do reflection on the self spells, spirit communication, and change spells 👻 Write in your grimoire or book of shadows and write down your magical goals that you want to achieve by the end of the year 👻 Dress up in costumes and have fun with friends! Enchant some of the clothing to make the night more fun! 👻 Do some crafts, such as carving pumpkins, making witch ladders, and making candles in cauldrons 👻 Make food for your friends and family and bless the food with their consent for good health and luck for the rest of the year 👻 Play with an ouija board with friends or use a pendulum by yourself to talk with spirits
Happy Samhain!🎃
