Day of the Little Candles for EncantoVember 2024

1, Day of the Little Candles

The first day of #encantovember2024 , I decided to go for Mirabel as she is the miracle of the family which she was determined to prove herself to be more than a magical gift that she didn’t gave because she was destined for greatness.

I remember when I first done Day of the Little Candles back in 2022 two years ago where everyone would celebrate the day by wearing white clothes with golden butterflies detailing as resembling the movie we all love. Hope you guys did the same for this day of EncantoVember 2024

Mirabel, Agustin, Asha and Magnifico

Day 15, Butterfly and Stars

This is so special to me as I draw four characters in Encanto, Wish and Once Upon a Studio…

🦋Mirabel; She had always waited for a miracle so she could fit in with her family who had gifts, but she had no idea that she would open Alma’s eyes to the damage she had inflicted upon the family and they’d be able to move on and make the family feel happy and be themselves

🪓Agustín; As much as he loves his family, he was determined to make sure that Mirabel was still part of family with or without a gift, but he had no idea that he would stood up to Alma as he had enough of her harsh reality that Mirabel was struggling with and was very proud of Mirabel who helped this family

🪄Asha; She just wanted everyone’s wishes to have a chance than being kept away, but she sometimes wished that she could do something that wasn’t meant to have Magnifico to have a breakdown because of her selfish actions. She promised herself that she would help others and think first before she take actions.

🌟Magnifico; He was suffering with grief loss in the past and tried to protect his people from going through the same thing. He made a mistake by using the forbidden book, but he was desperate to protect them and will do everything to try and understand what he was doing was hard for everyone to even listen as they want their wishes to be fulfilled.

Day 12, Donkeys (or maybe Luisa Madrigal)

I just realised that I can't really draw donkeys, so l thought I'd draw Luisa wearing her voice actress' outfit as she sang 'Under the Surface' at the Encanto Bowl Concert. If you guys know what I'm talking about. But I was able to find a donkey wallpaper, so that's count.

Day 11) Music

I’ve been listening to the song perfect from Cinderella, which is the song from Ed Sheeran and it suddenly clicks. It was a good opportunity to create my original character for Mirabel, because why not?

This is Samson, or Sam for short, and he’s British from London he used to live before he and his family were moved to Encanto after Agustín and Magnifico created a new era once saving the Kingdom of Rosas. At first, Sam and Mirabel would be friends but they can’t help falling for each other just like Agustín and Julieta when they were their age.

Day 10, Flowers

It was easy to draw Isabela as a teenager and I understand that she wanted to make her family happy but deep down, she’s not happy as she was already sick of being pretty and she could only talk to her grandfather Matre and sometimes grandmother Sophia about how she was feeling. Matre understood that and sometimes confronted Alma about how she wanted her to be perfect to the family but he had none of that.

When she was eight, was almost abused physically by Alma when Matre stopped her in time and told her she was going too far and hard on Isabela. He took her to his place until she was eleven just in time to see her little sister Mirabel turned five. She wished she could stay with her grandfather but he promised her that everything will be okay as long as she stood up to Alma if she’s gone to hard on her again. Sometimes, she felt like she would be violence towards someone who dared to hurt her sisters, just like Matre would the same thing.

The Wedding

Day 9, Wedding of Agustin and Julieta

Sorry for being late in this afternoon instead of the morning, but here’s Agustín and Julieta’s wedding which I really wanted to draw as well as I enjoyed it.

I believe the wedding is sweeter and much beautiful than I hope it would be, like Matre was offered to walk Julieta down the aisle and Bruno was Agustín’s best man. Alma may not improve to this day but she was happy with Julieta was doing the similar thing that was reminded of Alma and Pedro by using the candle, the veil for Julieta and a flower for Agustín as they were the first couple to be married before Pepa and Felix two years later. Agustín also thought that someone (Pedro as a spirit) told him to look after Julieta after they got married.

We could say that Pedro was very approval of Agustín as his son-in-law while he was a spirit and knew that he would protect the family than anyone would think of.

This is really important to me because of the short film that I watched a year ago. Ever seen Disney Once Upon a Studio came out I thought I could try to have ideas to do the series said no one else could and yes it’s longer than I thought as I was busy with other things. And this is came to my mind of Encanto and Wish as it would be like a crossover between them, and part of me thinking that Magnifico deserves a second chance and a family that he didn’t know he had which would be a cousin named Agustín Madrigal as their fathers are brothers.

At first, they would try to be acquaintance before they end up being enemies during the event of the archery and sword offend during my once upon a studio series. They would be enemies until the end of season two where I’m trying to do a special movie/series where they discover that they are cousins which lead them to have a friendship before they develop into brotherhood that wishes they were brothers instead after they support each other and save one another.

I headcanon that Julieta wished to heal herself when she was wishing to have a father that she never had since she was born but a yellow butterfly seems to comfort her in many ways possible as if her father would be a spiritual butterflies than just the candle and the house

He sure loves his wife because of the weather he enjoys, that’s all I could say about this challenge

5. Sunshine

I knew I have to do Pepa Madrigal as she is a sunshine to all and using this dress from paperdollsbycory from instagram because it was soo cute. Not sure what to think of her except that she’s just like me; full of sunshine but also clashing with thunder. I mean, mix emotions like a mix weather that we kept having in the UK.

4, Dark moments in the past

Okay, I know what you guys were thinking about this day challenge four but I did it for a reason because both Alma and my oc Matre had in common with losing the people they loved and suffered so much all alone before they would be blind in where they shouldn’t be in the first place as they’re had family that they were pushed them away from.

To Alma, she was given a miracle and lost sight of what it was for which led her to hurt her family and push Mirabel to the side as she had no gift. And to Matre, he was given a throne to rule the land but he refused to take it and go out to avenge his brother’s death and decided to do whatever it takes to protect his son Agustín as they came to Encanto.

Matre knew the magic was a curse than a blessing and he believed that Alma was to blame for harming his granddaughter Mirabel and he was proud of Agustin to prove that the Family Madrigal was no longer he choose and takes matters in his own hand to stop the miracle and the wishes that Asha harms Magnifico for.

Miracle Candle for EncantoVember 2024

3, Miracle Candle

This candle has been the most important gift from the miracle that Alma Madrigal begged for safety in the family, but sure she lost sight of what the miracle was for as magic can be a beautiful thing but did comes a dark purpose without realising it.

My headcanon is that the miracle candle is a mystery rather it was a blessing or a curse, Agustín’s father Matre was already aware of that and he did helped his new family to adapt it but easing down when it was getting too strong; Like he cured Dolores hearing when she almost fell deaf to her ears, Luisa’s strength was easy to break things but he told her to relax, and comfort Isabela when Alma was too hard on her gift. He did protect the kids at all cost but knew the miracle will fall apart when the family was getting weakened by the year and he was ready for that…

The Madrigal Triplets for EncantoVember 2024

2, The Madrigal Triplets

There are the young triplets (or teens) Julieta, Pepa and Bruno Madrigal and they were like best friends than just siblings in their youth years. They would come in many adventures together and wished for the future together but they had always wanted to go outside of the mountains where the real adventure begins with their parents before the miracle happened when they were babies.
