Just the Beginning 

Chapter 7

A/n: Happy New Year and very late Christmas! I hope this year has been kind to you and that next year will bring more wonderful surprises. This will be my last fiction post of this year, so i made it longer. I hope you enjoy it! (Sorry for the spelling and grammar errors. I think my dyslexia is getting worse.)

You looked down at the box in front of you. You knew whom it was from, feeling the butterflies in your stomach. You picked it up, taking it back inside, but not before skimming outside to see if Chief was out there. It felt futile as there was nothing but the silence of the night. You sighed, feeling defeated by the loneliness and concern about him.

You walked into the kitchen quietly and sat close to the counter, placing the box and envelope on it. You felt nervous about what it could contain inside. You held your breath for a moment before deciding to open it.

"My dear lady,

I wanted to apologize for our last date. I hope you enjoy this small gift to make it up, for the distress I caused you at the museum. When I saw it, I knew it had to be with you. I had to depart for the moment but rest sure I'll be fine and return as soon as possible.

~Sincerely, your Chief."

You felt your cheek becoming pink, but your mind became curious about what he was thinking after that day. As you carefully open the box, a creek from behind you. Closing the box and hiding the letter, you turned around to find Moe walking toward you. He purred on your leg as you gave a small sigh of relief. "Did I wake you up? I'm sorry." You said as you picked him up, letting him snuggle in your arms.

"Not only him." A voice came from the darkroom as you turned to see Pigsy. "Oh! I'm sorry, I couldn't sleep." You meekly spoke as Pigsy stared you down. Those minutes felt like hours as you sat at the counter and he was cooking something, and the air felt tense with doubt. You stared down at Moe in your arms till a bowl of noodles was in front of you. Confused, you looked up to see Pigsy, who seemed apologetic.

"I haven't been the best guest since this chaos started." He looked down at the floor before looking up at you. You gave a weak chuckle as you spoke, " Well, I wouldn't put it past you. Everything seems to be falling apart, so it's good to be careful around others." Pigsy sighed, "but it was rude of me to be hostile with you. You appear to be great friends with Sandy, and he knows how to bring the best out in someone." He said, and you nodded in agreement.

"I'm sorry for my rude behavior," Pigsy said as he hung his head in remorse. "It's quite alright. I should be thanking you for the amazing foods you made." You smiled as he lifted his head. Pigsy gave a soft grin as you ate. It was a while before you both finished and talked more. Pigsy soon left you alone to go back to sleep.

"Well, Moe, I guess I made a new friend." You talked to the yawning cat. "And it seems to be you getting sleepy too. Come on, let's go." You carried the blue feline and placed him on a soft pillow. After that, you remember the gifted Chief gave you. You went to find the box and envelope staring at it for a bit. "Better now than never." You whisper to yourself as you open the small box.

Inside the box was a teardrop pendant, and the gem was white with blue undertones, held by a silver chain. You were surprised by how it looked. It was so simple, yet it had elegance to it. "What am I going to do with the man?" You chuckled to yourself before putting it on. "Thank you, Chief. I hope you are safe where ever you are…" You said as you wanted to bed, looking outside the window. As you shut your eyes, you felt like someone was at the window before going to sleep, creating the pendant gave a faint glow of neon blue.

It had been a few days after DBK and his bull clones had taken over the city. You attempted to search for Bai He and her family but weren't able to find them. You tried thinking optimistically, thinking they found shelter someplace safe. Feeling that two of the people you cared for the most could be in danger, you and the gang had taken up the duty to take out as many bull clones as possible, not only for them but for the citizens as well.

Since bull clones target you more than the others, Sandy taught you how to defend yourself, but most time Tang and you stayed in the truck and slammed into them. During the calm moments, you and Tang talked about JTTW and making sense of Mk being the Monkey King's successor.

Other times you cooked with Pigsy and had fun with Mei and Sandy. 'Mk' was unfazed by most things happening, but you included him either way. As well as finishing Chief's suit, having no way to contact him, you kept it safe till you met him again.

Today you guys head back to the noodles shop after getting some supplies. While driving closer, you noticed another Mk driving up to the shop. Unaware of the bull clones gathering closer as he steps out of the tuk-tuk. "Pigsy, step on it!" You wasted little time to say as Pigsy slammed the brakes and collided with the pile of bull clones that were almost bombarding Mk. Everyone came out of the truck and posed in front of mk. He was in awe as he saw the new outfits you crafted for the gang.

"Guys! Ohoh! You guys look so awesome!" He smiled as he got up from the ground, Mei jumping in front of him. You felt proud as Mei had to give him the news of DBK. "Yeah, so um. Some stuff happened while you were away. Got kinda intense." Mei said as she rubbed her head. You could see mk looked a bit confused as he spoke, "But I left you with one of my boys?"

Remembering the Mk inside the food truck, you turned your head towards him while tang gave a sarcastic remark about him. "Oh, he's been super useful." The other Mk spoke in a huff, "I don't know what to tell you, guy."

As he finished his sentence, his body glowed into a golden cloud before exploding into a bunch of hair. ' I guess that's what they meant when they say that's not mk…' you thought, as you Tang and Pigsy became covered in hair. You quickly swipe it off as you hear Mk asking Mei what happened during his time away.

"Well, after you left-" Mei's sentence was interrupted by a cough from tang before he spoke up. "If you'll allow me?" He gave a grin as Mei gave a groan of annoyance but allowed him to continue. Tang continues in a more narrative tone.

"Well, after you left, the bull clones attacked, but they were different. More powerful than before, we believe it all ties back to the demon bull king himself. Mk, he's conquered everything." Hearing this left Mk in shock about the situation. "Where is he? Where's DBK?" Mk asks, giving a serious look. Sandy spoke up as everyone turned towards him and the mountain. "We're not sure, but there's pretty scary noises coming from the mountain." You can see Sandy holding Moe tight.

"We better get going before he finds out Mk is here." You said as you walked towards the truck. Mk was surprised to see you, but he agreed, "yeah, let's ruin DBK parade again!" Everybody was inside as Pigsy slammed on the gas and sped to the mountains, lightning striking down close.

~Meanwhile, in DBK throne room~

In the deep underground, Deamon Bull King watches as his rain over megalopolis. He gave a roaring laugh at how the people coward in fear of the bull clones. DBK switches between the screens of bull clones seeing how empty the street of the city becomes. " Look at how they coward and run! With this power, not even the great sage could not stop me!" DBK heavily breathe, as he felt the power of the canister flowing in him. Princess Iron Fan was behind her husband, disliking his behavior, even after taking over the city.

Something wasn't right.

"Yes, father! We have finally taken our right full place as the rulers of the city!" Redson said as he moved beside her and spoke with pride. He was about laugh, but a warning appeared, catching the attention of everyone. DBK turned to the screen he saw Pigsy food truck heading their way. The computer scanned the beings in the moving vehicles, detecting six screen pops up. It showed Mk, Mei, (Y/n), Tang, Pigsy, and Sandy.

DBK heard the whisper of Lady bone demon in his mind as he saw the image of Mk. "MONKEY KING! COME TO TAKE ME? BIND ME?" He yelled, the image of Mk turned Sun Wukong, "I WILL NOT LET THAT SIMIAN ABOMINATION TRIUMPH AGAIN!" As he roared, PIF became uneasy about how the power was taking over him. It was only seconded till he noticed your image. The present you shifted to your past life.

"If it isn't that persistent pest? I'll be sure that she gets the message this time." He snarled, snapping his finger as bull clones rushed around him. "Be sure she is nothing but dust." Under his voice, he muttered, "I will not, be losing an instrument of my destiny even if he is slipping away from my control."

~ Back to You~

As Pigsy drove on, you realized it was hard to move. What hasn't occurred to anyone was the space in the truck. Everyone was squishing into each other you were under Sandy's arm and the door. "Oh, Mk! This is (y/n)! A friend of mine!" Sandy said as he did his best to make room. "Oh! I remember you!" He said, giving a grin. "Nice to properly meet you. I think, given the situation, it could be better." You nodded in agreement. "Yeah, but I guess now then never." You smiled.

"Wait, how did you get involved?" Mk asked curiously, you chuckled nervously, looking away, "A bit of a long story, but I was with Sandy when this started." It wasn't long before you guys reached DBK lair entrance. Lighting was struck on the symbol of the bull king, frightening Moe and causing him to crawl toward you. You held him close to make sure his alright.

Sandy smiled proudly and said, "Alright! what's the plan?" He looked at Mk. Who realized he didn't have a plan. "Uh… I don't know. I was just gonna to wing it?" He said, unsure. You, Mei, and Sandy agreed. "Sounds great! Let's go!" Sandy said as Mei pumped her hand in the air, and you grinned. Mk shook his head, "What! No, I didn't mean you guys too!" He expressed worried about their safety. Tang pushed up his glasses before speaking, "You thought you were going without us?"

Pigsy chuckled, "Mk, we get it. You're the monkey kid. It's your job to fight the bad guys." Sandy chimed in, "But we're your team, little man! And it's our job to get you there!" Mei smiled as she continued Sandy's sentience, "No matter what!" The whole gang had a big grin as they reassured Mk and their decision to fight by his side. Mk was touched, having tears almost spilling out as he turned to everyone and smiled. Before you knew it, the truck was already driving and flying toward the DBK lair.

As Pigsy landed, he swerved around before finding balance. Everyone was swishing around, but another truck appeared behind you and bumped into you guys. Tang flew out of his seat and on to window next to Pigsy as he tried to drive. As tang looked up, he could see an enormous hole in the ground, "look there! DBK throne room! It's gotta be-be down there!" He stammered as he could see a vehicle full of bull clones closing in on the truck. They collide with it a couple more times before using full force, causing it to explode. You did your best to protect yourself and Moe as rolling out of the truck. You, Tang, and Pigsy stayed behind as Sandy carried Mei and MK to the entrance.

"Go get him, Monkey Kid!!" You yelled with a grin as you stood up and regained balance. He turned back to see you, grinning before he almost fell off Sandy's shoulder. Mk was caught, by Sandy, as they ran towards the pit. You saw Sandy crush another one of the tank-like vehicles that charged at them. You placed Moe on your shoulder as you went to help Tang and Pigsy get up. "Okay, Now what?" Tang asked you.

"Well, crushing them first of all!" You said as you saw bull clones coming towards you. You handed Moe to Tang as you stood side by side with Pigsy. "Ready, kid?" He asked, and you nodded. "As I'll ever be." On cue, a swarm of bull clones came charging at you guys. One took a swing at you, causing you to dodge it and grab its arm. You took a stance as you threw it into another, who was aiming at Tang and Moe. Pigsy took out a line of sausages, using them as nun-chucks, and took out a few.

'Vermin! Can't let him go!' You turn to see one of the bull clones hissing at you. It was faint whispering, but as the bull clones got closer, it became one voice. You were surprised and shook your head as you kept focus as you kicked one to the ground. You looked up to see tang become pale but give a thumbs up. You weren't focusing on the next bull clone.

'I don't plan on losing my most faithful servant to some lowly mortal!' It aimed at you, getting a clean shot to your back as you weren't concentrating. 'Like you!' Your breath was knocked out of you as you tried to inhale. "(Y/n)!" Pigsy and Tang yelled as they saw you fall to the ground.

'You may have done better, but you're still weak! Your fate hasn't changed ' As bull clones stood over you before Pigsy punched them away. Tang rushes over as you try to regain your breath. You could hear laughter coming from the clones as they closed in on you four.

"You can do this, (Y/n)!" You heard a voice yelling as you opened your eyes and saw it was from Pigsy. "You have us now!" Tang raised his voice as he helped you sit up. "We're behind you, (Y/n)! No matter what!" another voice come out of nowhere. You, Tang, and Pigsy became confused for a moment, until you saw Sandy coming from the sky as he smashed into the bull clones. "Thanks, guys." You said as you felt your lips form into a smile as you got up.

"Guys, get on!" He said as he put you three on his back. Before he threw a punch, an explosion transpired, and bright blue lightning stuck, blinding you for a moment. You blinked a few times before you opened your eyes to see a spirit-like essence depart the bull clones' bodies. You heard the whispers, all chanting the same word.

'Freedom'

The nowempty clones soon collapse to the ground. Tang followed, soon after, who was drained. You let go carefully and took a sigh of relief for a moment. "Is it over?" you asked the group. "Yeah, it is!" Mei's voice was heard, from inside a huge monkey mech coming from the ground with Mk.

After a while, you all sat on the shoulder of the monkey mech, eating a bowl of noodles. "Welp, ya did it, kid," Pigsy said before taking another bit of noodles. Sandy was grinning as he held Moe in his hand, "You beat DBK again!" You saw Mk seeming down and doubtful of what happened with DBK. "I'm not sure I did. Whatever was powering him up. It made him different." He said. in seeing this, Mei tried cheering him up.

"But we won~! right?" Tang chimed in after her. "I'm sure it's fine." He soon put his chopstick in Pigsy's bowl, trying to take some noodles. " You were done with this?" Pigsy, not having it, took his bowl away from tang. "Hey, get your mitts off my bowl tang!"

"At least over now, right." You said as they agreed. As you finished eating, a feeling lingered as you all went home. You recalled the blue spirit leaving the bull clones.

'It is over, right?'

The void before the rebirth

Hello again! This is part two of The Lady and Her Monster. This does not have as much violence as the first part. This does still have some towards the end. So that's a small warning. Also, the parts that are Italic are memories. Sorry for the spelling and grammer errors.

Summary: You have died now and you are in a white void. You didn't have an idea of what was happening. Until an image appeared and it was a beautiful and now painful memory. The day you met Chief.

You woke in a white void, looking around to see no one.

You yelled into the blank void, “Hello? Is anyone here?” Nothing happened, and you whispered to yourself. “what is this place?"

Until an image of how you both met popped up. As if it was a screen from your point of view. You knew what was happening. Was your life flashing before your eyes or was it after cause you were already dead? Your thought cut off when you looked at the image before it moved. You realized what memory it was.

How you met him when he was on duty in your section of the empire. He was a young soldier before becoming the empire war Chief. You were a simple fabric worker walking home for the night till a group of men harassed you, you yelled at them to leave, and it caught his attention. Before things got out of hand, he stepped in and beat these men until they were unconscious. He scanned around before he turned towards you. The moonlight made him look handsome. 

That is when you felt your heart flutter for him. He asked if you were okay, and you nodded. Before he left, you tugged his cape and asked him if he can take you home. You still felt some fear, you wanted to get home safely, and he agreed. “So.. what’s your name? I would love to thank you For saving me. ” You asked him. He gave you a weird look before he answered. “ Um... It's chief.” You thought it was a cute nickname. “Well, Chief. My name is (Y/n). Thank you for saving me and teaching them a lesson.” You smiled as you both had a blush line forming on your cheeks.

After that, you sought him out more to have a small chit-chat and even get refreshing drinks on hot days. You even found out his real name was actually Chief. You giggled a bit but found it quite fitting for him. He was awkward at first because, he was always strict with his fellow soldiers, but when you came into his life, he became happier and positive about it now. Every moment you spent with him was amazing. Both of your lives became better with each other. 

You cried as you saw these images flashing by, wanting things to go back to the way they were. “Why... why us...” you wept as another memory popped up. You saw through your watery eyes, it was the moment he asked you out on a date.

It was a sunny day in the market, and you went to surprise him on his route. You didn’t know yet that he was talking to himself about how he was going to ask you out. He became flustered and started to stutter every time he thought of you. It never happened to him and he became more frustrated till you appeared behind him, giving him a scare. You were laughing cause he was hard making his scare. You both talked for a bit about your day and went to a beautiful lake field with waterlilies. You both had fun and talked more until he brought up the topic of love and asked who would be your perfect love.

You were surprised at this question and thought about it for a bit before giving him an answer. "I wanted someone who can protect you, that he wants kids and to help the people of this empire. But someone like would never fall for me." You chuckle, till he spoke quietly "what if that someone was next to you, and they did fall for you." He said as he looked down with a deep pink blush crossing his face, before taking a deep breath and was about to tell you, but you kind of beat him to it. You jumped onto him for a hug and kissed his cheek, not noticing that you both almost fell into the lake. "I was wondering when you were going to ask me!" You told him as you confess how you fell for him from the first night you met.

You wanted these images to stop playing. You could not handle it, feeling your heart ache for the love you both had for each other. The memory of you both marrying passed by and was replaced with the day your daughter was born. 

He was called to war at the start of your pregnancy. You understood when you married him, he would be called to fight for the empire. Now you were on your last month of it. You were with your mother, she came to help after he was sent off. He made a vow he will come back as soon as possible. You hoped and pray to the gods to protect him and for him to come back home safely to see his child. 

You held on to your tummy as you whispered to your child who their father was. "He is an amazing man, he will be here for you, to catch you when you fall, to lift you, and to guide you in this life." You smiled and continue to speak softly "you will do amazing things, with us behind you to support and protect you." 

A few days later you felt your water break, your mother called you to the nearest doctor and helped you breathe, and held your hand. You cried as the pain felt like forever, and you wanted your husband to be there holding your hand as well. Within a few hours, the pain worsen and the doctor told you it was time to push. You were scared and cried as you pushed, till a familiar voice came shouting into the room. "(Y/N)!! My lady!!" It was him, your Chief.

"My lady, I'm here for you." He walked closer to you and hugged you. "You can do this, please keep pushing," he said, giving you the power to push the pain aside. After a couple more powerful pushes, you both heard the cries of your child. You smiled weakly as Chief kissed you, "congratulations! It's a girl!" The doctor said as the nurse cleaned her before they gave her to you.

Your child had a small tuff of (h/c), and a whimper for warmth. "My little girl... (D/n)" you smiled and you brought her closer to you. "(D/n).. that's a beautiful name for a beautiful lady," Chief said holding you and her closely. You both have a tender kiss before hearing a whimpering sound from (D/n). You giggle thinking she was jealous of being left out already. 

"We were so happy...." You said with no energy left as happier memories passed by and flashed before you. When it was your daughter's 100 days when you heard he became War Chief, when it was your 6th anniversary, when it was (D/n) 5 birthday and when you both wanted to have another child... "Was this our fate?.. to be given happiness only to have it ripped away..." 

You didn't realize as you cried, your memories started to come closer to the last few months. When he was acting strange, when he became more aggressive and angry, when you had explained to your child "he has a hard day at work", up until the moment he stopped coming home altogether and left you both alone. The final few days were you asking to see him, and asking his fellow soldiers what was happening only for them to intimidate you into leaving the place. You were worried about him, but you had a child that needed her mama.

On the last day, you hear screams from outside, and you rush outside to see shards of crystals erupt from the ground. Your eyes widen to the sight of chaos and destruction. You turn to find your daughter clutching onto your leg, worrying about what was happening. 

"It's okay (d/n), we have to get out of here." You said, before hearing a blood-curdling scream. You turn to see where the cry came from and saw HIM. Your husband, your Chief... He didn't notice until (D/n) smiled and shouted "Papa!! Your home!!" She was about to run to him, til you stopped her. She was about to throw a fit but was paralyzed by the scene displayed before her. As a citizen ran to him for help and they only meet his blade. 

That's where it stopped and return to the white void. You felt empty after seeing your life pass by again. Til a voice called out to you "(Y/n), you will soon be reincarnated into your next life." You were stunned by the voice, but two questions popped into your head. Before you could utter a word, the voice spoke again. "Your child is safe with her grandparents, she was saved by a group of pilgrims that found her. Now they have moved far away from the empire." You sigh with ease. But it was washed away when the voice talked about your husband. 

"As for your husband, he was possessed by the one they called lady bone demon, months, after she came into the empire." chills went down your spine. "Who's this Lady Bone Demon? Why is she causing this much misery?" You questioned the entity. "She wants to help the mortals in this world, and she thought helping the emperor would make a difference but due to his selfishness and arrogance, nothing changed. So she came up with a plan to start the world over again with a clean slate." It spoke sounding sad. 

"Will it happen? Or did it already happen?" you asked, it was silent for a while. You started to become anxious as you thought this silence meant yes. "no, it didn't happen. That's all I can answer for that question." You weren't sure if it provide you with the comfort you needed. 

"(Y/n), are you ready?" The voice softly spoke, but you had to know one more thing. "Will I be with my family in the next life? My daughter, and my husband?" You said with hope in your voice. "For your daughter, you will. For your husband, he will still be alive when you reincarnate. But you will see him" You were confused as to how he would still be alive. 

"It's time to go now," the soft voice said before a blinding light showered on you. "Have hope in this life (Y/N). Even a smidge of it can make a difference."

The Lady and Her Monster

A/n: Hello there, This is a Mayor x Reader fanfic, inspired by the artwork of @neonross of the mayor and his daughter. The link is here. It is incredible, as well as their Bull kid au.

**This is a warning that this first part contains gory descriptions and death. So It's rated M for violence**

This is also one of a three or four-part fanfic. I'm unsure because I have ADHD and fall in and out of writing/fandom. (Hyperfixation is a curse!!)

Summary: The day lady bone demon start destroying the empire and eliminating the emperor. But she also needed to keep her tool in check, so she commanded him to eliminate the one thing holding him back, his love for you and his daughter.

Sidenote; I gave the mayor a name.....It's chief... I know it's a terrible name. The mayor also starts as a human before fully becoming the LBD servant. It has been a long while since writing fanfiction and the first time to post it on Tumblr. So there may be spelling mistakes that I may have missed.

Now on to the story.

You held your young daughter close as you gazed into the eye of your former husband. The cold blue that emanated from his eyes, this wasn't the man you knew and loved. He was something else, something frightening and horrible. He held his bloodstained blade.

When did it go wrong? When did he become this monster you see before you?

You felt tears from your daughter as she was holding on to you for dear life. "Mama! What's happening? Why is papa hurting people?" She cried as you couldn't explain it to her. How could? You don't know what was possessing him to do this.

"Sweetie, That is not your papa... Not anymore..." that's all you could muster as he walked towards you both with blood-soaked katana in hand. Before he started to run, you bolted with your daughter in your arms into the house. You felt the swing of his blade was close behind you. Turning to close the door, you saw his unnerving grin before slamming the door shut and grabbing a nearby chair to slow him down. It gave you both enough time to run into the cellar as he busted into the home you both made.

You held in your breath as you tried to soothe your child. Trying to think of a way to keep her safe, you thought of your parents outside the empire. "My lady, we're going to play a game. Okay, you remember how you ran to your grandma and grandpa's home outside of the empire against daddy to see who's faster?"

She nodded in confusion. Why did you want to play a game at a time like this? "You need to run to them while I stop papa from catching up to you. Okay? Don't stop for anything until you are there and safe." You heard him upstairs walking into each room, flinging items out of the way while the doors shattered as he tried to find you both.

You held you're breath and heard him going into the farthest room, your only chance for your daughter to flee from the demon in your home. You quickly tip-toed out of the basement, carrying her closet to your chest to shield her eyes from the horror the empire had become. Shards of giant blue crystal erupted out of nowhere and destroyed buildings, entrapping citizens, some piercing through them. As bodies drop on the street, families cry out for lost loved ones, and neighbors attempt to liberate their friends from crystal.

As soon as you escaped the chaos, you ran into the forest near your parent's home. "Okay, my lady, remember..." You began to tear up, knowing this was the last time you'll ever hold her. "Don't look back, and keep running till you are safe and far away from here...." You choked on your sobs as you hugged her tightly and kissed her on the forehead. "Mama..." She utters as she tries to hold back her tears. "I love you, my little lady."

Before your daughter could say anything, a twig snapped behind you. Dread wanted to take over and paralyze you, but you knew you had to hold him back for your daughter. You turn to see the man you once adored smiling maliciously. It made your guts turn sour as you turned to your daughter "(d/n), run... Get out of here!" You shouted as you heard the crunching of leaves get farther away from you both, now in a stand-off. You knew you were not going to survive.

"Is this how you protect your child?" He spoke, sounding like a mad man as he laughed. "You mean our child!! Chief, what has happened to you?!" You shouted at him, clenching your hands into fists, holding in your sobs. "Destiny happened to me sadly... You both aren't in it." He utters before lunging forward at you. Without having enough time to respond, he held you by your neck and chuckled before slamming you into a tree.

You coughed as the air was knocked out of your lungs, dropping onto the ground, gasping as you struggled to stand. Only to feel a hand grab a fist full of your (h/c) hair and yank you up. You stood face to face with this monster. The cold blue of his eyes meets your weeping (E/C) ones. He was about to slam you into the tree again until you both heard a woman's voice coming from behind him. "This has gone on long enough,"

"It's time to finish with this. We must concentrate on our destiny at hand." She said coldly into your eyes as you fell to the ground. You saw her form come closer as you screamed at her, "WHO ARE YOU? HOW COME YOU'RE DOING THIS?!" She turned towards you as she spoke."I am but a humble spirit. "I respect your efforts into savings your offspring but note this if she comes back," She said as her eyes started to glow neon blue. "I will not have any mercy." Turning towards the once-thriving empire as she gave her final order. "End her."

You looked at her before turning to your former husband and saw him raising his katana, looking down at you. You closed your eyes and braced yourself for what happened next. Till you felt tear drops falling from his eyes onto your face as he smiled, before he brought his blade down, you gave him a final smile and calmly "I love you, my dear Chief." In his mind, one thing that was his own before fully succumbing to her influence was ' I'm sorry I couldn't protect you, my lady (Y/n)..'

Your final words to the man you spent your last few moments of life. As you passed, he wiped his tears away as he stared off into the depth of the woods before following the lady bone demon to the emperor's palace. Unbeknownst to them, two pairs of puffed (d/e/c) watched in horror behind a tree only a couple of feet away. Hiccups and sniffles came out as she turned in the direction of her grandparents, running as fast as she stumbled and tripped over roots. Huffs of air escaped her tiny lungs as they tried their best to keep up.

Her little legs with scrapes and scratches kept running as she fought the urge to fall over and wail about the scene keeps replaying in her head. (D/n) runs out of the woods, meeting a meadow of flowers. A vision of her and her father picking flowers and creating flower crowns for one another flashed in her mind. "Mama! Papa!" she whimpers as she reaches for safety underneath the only peach tree. She falls to the ground, and she feels her body trembling out of fear and sadness as she attempts to catch her breath as if it were her last and feels her energy fade.

(D/n) glanced up towards the night sky and said a small, simple prayer. "Please, help us.." Before giving in to exhaustion.
