You’re Different, Like Me. Part 9.
he stared down at her for a moment, not truly knowing what to say.
(y/n) instantly regretted telling him this. she tried to look away with shame, but his grip on her face kept her still.
he leaned in, his eyes staring into hers, these grey blue, stormy eyes. such rare eyes he’d never seen before.
he suddenly realized that it had made sense. the way she acted in the forest. she always hit the ground before getting up, or setting down, she twitched and smiled to every noise around her.
he was now extremely, extremely interested in this young christian girl.
“ivar, don’t you think it is time for us to start cleaning up?” hvitserk asked, leaning in closer to his brother.
(y/n) heard the man, ivar, take in a deep breath through his nose, letting it fall heavily out his mouth.
“i suppose. it is starting to smell” ivar said cruelly. (y/n) could hear the smirk in his voice.
he slowly leaned back more, letting (y/n) think she had room for an escape.
she reared up, but ivar had stopped her once again, laying his legs over hers.
“ah, ah, ah. none of that” ivar said, his breath fanning over (y/n)’s neck. she sighed and tapped the back of her head against the wood flooring.
“please, please just tell me where catherine and agnus are?” she pleaded, she’d do anything he wanted, anything, just to know if they were safe.
she heard ivar move in closer, until his lips were by her ear, whispering.
“i did not hear such names as we slaughtered your people”.
those sickening, vomit inducing words caused (y/n) more comfort than she thought they would.
she nodded slowly, letting her head fall back. she wished she could sink into the floor.
“alright. get on with it then” she stated simply, digging her heels into the floor.
ivar crinkled his brows at her, head lolling to the side.
(y/n) could feel tears escape her useless eyes, slipping down her cheeks and falling to her neck.
“killing. just, please make it quick. i promise not to scream” she whispered, making ivar start laughing uncontrollably.
she could not help but feel anger towards this man above her, he had the audacity to laugh in her last moments of life? how dare he?.
“i am not going to kill you. i have no desire to” ivar said, still chuckling, his chest against hers.
she blinked several times, clearly confused.
“then.....what are you going to do with me?”.
ivar shook his head, bringing it lower again, this time, not whispering in her ear, but against her lips.
“i am going to take you with me”
