ArtRage 5 is Coming! Huge Holiday Sale!
ArtRage 5 is coming in early 2017, which means that we have a big sale on ArtRage Lite and ArtRage 4 before ArtRage 5 replaces ArtRage 4.
- All existing owners of desktop versions of ArtRage will be eligible for an upgrade discount to ArtRage 5
- ArtRage Lite and ArtRage 4 are both 50% off until ArtRage 5 is released.
- This means that if you upgrade to ArtRage 4 during the sale, you will get 75% off the total price.
- If you buy a new copy of ArtRage Lite or ArtRage 4, you can upgrade at a discount to ArtRage 5 and pay less overall than the full cost of ArtRage 5. This is the best way to get a guaranteed discount on ArtRage 5 (if you don’t already own ArtRage, of course)!
- You can continue using your current software for as long as you like. Upgrading is optional and the upgrade discount will always be available.
- ArtRage 5 will not be available on Steam, but we intend to offer an upgrade discount on our store for current Steam users.
- ArtRage 4 will no longer be available after ArtRage 5 is released.
- ArtRage Lite will not be discontinued, the sale on that edition is just a bonus ;)
What does that actually mean in dollars?
- ArtRage 5 will be $79.
- Upgrading is the best way to get a good discount on ArtRage 5.
If you own ArtRage already and wait for ArtRage 5:
- If you already own ArtRage 2/¾ and upgrade directly to ArtRage 5 you will pay 50% less on ArtRage 5 ($39.50)
- If you already own ArtRage Lite and upgrade directly to ArtRage 5 you will pay 30% less on ArtRage 5 ($39.50)
If you buy during the sale before ArtRage 5 comes out and upgrade later:
We went through the numbers pretty carefully to make sure that nobody would be penalised for buying ArtRage in the weeks before we release the next version.
- If you upgrade from ArtRage Lite/2/3 to ArtRage 4 now, you will pay 34% less on ArtRage 5 ($51.95 - $12.45 now, $39.50 later) (This is a good option if you don’t think you’ll want ArtRage 5 immediately. It lets you pick up ArtRage 4 really cheaply and then not upgrade until you’re ready)
- If you buy ArtRage 4 new, and then upgrade to ArtRage 5 you will pay 19% less ($64.45 - $24.95 now, $39.50 later)
- If you buy ArtRage Lite new, and then upgrade to ArtRage 5 you will pay 11% less ($70.20 - $14.90 now, $55.30 later)

Still waiting on my confirmation email so I can upgrade (it’s possible the sale has their servers a bit overloaded!) but even just based on the light version of 3 this is a great program for mimicking traditional media and one of the few that works on Mac.
