I have the world's most spoiled cat. This is not up for debate 😅. She has three bowls, one is filled with her favorite kibble, one fresh water I changed out this morning, and the third was where I had her freshly shredded chicken with broth that I warmed up and made for her breakfast 😋 😁.
Two hours or so after eating her breakfast, she's pacing everywhere, getting confused, crying and starring at her bowls.
My cat is 19, she's blind, she does get a bit confused sometimes. She needs a little guidance. But even I couldn't figure out what she wanted.
It took me 45 minutes of going back and forth with her screaming bloody murder at the top of her lungs at 3AM to figure out that her bowl of chicken was out of broth. What she wanted was more warmed chicken broth.
She had water, kibble, moist chicken. Yet she wanted more broth so she was going to try and burst my ear drums. 😅
The second I made it and put it on her tray, she was a happy 😊 kitty. She drank ALL of it up and then went to hide in her favorite cubby in the closet to curl up and sleep now that she has a full warm belly of broth 🤣.
My little baby girl all snuggled up this morning ☀️ 🥰 she woke me up at 2AM today for something to eat 😅 glad to see she's all comfy now, sound asleep on her fuzzy blanket.
My friend from school, Raven, her cat Avocado is sick and needs medical treatment she's unable to financially provide.
If you can help donate to save Avocados life that would be greatly appreciated 🙏
🍂 I couldn't find my cat I was looking everywhere in my room for Miss Tafida. Turns out she was right up top the bed the whole time, behind my pillow snuggled up with Jenny the giraffe 🦒 & my blood pressure monitor lol 😆 she's so cute 😍
I talk to my kitties 😸 all the time, all day & night. My girl Taffy gives the best advice. We comfort each other. She's my mini orange furry therapist 💕
I think the fact that I feed her boujee food and treats is the only reason she puts up with me 😅. I love my baby girl 💜
My baby girl keeping an eye on outside 🥰 probably looking for birds honestly 🙃
Does anyone have any experience with a senior cat with dementia? I have an 18 year old kitty with dementia. She's been like this for a few years now. It got worse when she lost her vision. But recently she's gotten more confused & I can't tell if she's anxious when she gets her random bursts of energy & wanders around bumping into everything.
This morning I couldn't even get her attention for breakfast. She went into full zombie mode. I even put her food in front of her face and she was just starring off into space. I had to pick her up which she despises.
I've taken her to the vet before. But due to her age whenever an issue occurs they just suggest I put her down, even when treatment is available. But my personal ideology is if she isn't suffering I don't want to end her life. Even if she requires special care I will do it. It isn't fair to her to end her life just because it's more difficult. She's my baby, it doesn't matter if things are hard. I will take care of her. But I don't want her to suffer.
Shes a very happy kitty. She's always very cuddly. She eats and drinks well. She simply gets a little confused a couple times a day.
I'm scared to take her back to the vet because every time I do they tell me to put her down because of her age. Which I personally find wrong. Yes she may have dementia. But people have dementia we don't put them down. We care for them. What's the difference?
If you have any advice that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
