Ok this is kinda funny but imagine being surrounded by people who sound like this. The French language was a mistake in the first place but combining it with English…. abomination

Hi. Montrealer here. This is a person putting on a FRANCE French accent and speaking a combination of French and English - NOT Québeçois. There are clear tells of this: they use “ze” for “the” when Québeçois would be more like “de,” the “oui” is pronounced “we” instead of “ouais,” and all the vowels are very front of mouth forward (as in France French). Accent aside, no one walks around Montreal speaking like this. People speak French or English with various accents from around the world, the dominants obviously being Québecois French and Canadian English. In fact, the most linguistically diverse neighbourhood in all of Canada is located in Montreal with a reported 48 mother tongues. Yes there is some mixing of words and phrases, some anglicisms and frenchisms in both languages, but what is in this video is not representative of that in the slightest.
