Colombian Air Force, Lockheed C-130H Hercules FAC 1004 in Rionegro, recently returned from it’s fifth antarctic mission, hence the 5 penguins painted on it’s side.

The same aircraft during its fourth antarctic mission.

I found it funny how it makes it look like the plane is somehow claiming 5 penguins as aerial kills, a transport aircraft shooting down flightless birds!

Columbia STS-1 landing at Edwards AFB

STS-1 was the first orbital spaceflight of NASA’s Space Shuttle program. The first orbiter, Columbia, launched on April 12, 1981 and returned on April 14, 1981, 54.5 hours later, having orbited the Earth 36 times. Columbia carried a crew of two – mission commander John W. Young and pilot Robert L. Crippen.
