"A Time to Stand" (S06E01, Stardate UNKNOWN) is a solid start to season 6. Balancing the stories of DS9 and the war effort off-station, while giving the central crew a mission that takes them out of their element gives us a shot of fresh air that is welcome and exciting.

Barry Jenner as Admiral William Ross. Ross ended up being a writer favourite as they finally found an admiral that wasn’t corrupt, crazy and had a quality they liked.
