I had a vision
Actually multiple visions. But focusing on 1. I was meditating, while seeking clarity in what God is calling me to do. Ive been stagnant, and stuck in uncertainty in my life, and it's been increasingly clear that I need to move forward. So I meditated and prayed about it
I walked through a door into a really creepy decaying place. There was sticky oily stuff, like the pollution monster thing in Fern Gully, covering everything. And corrupt mushrooms (I think a metaphor for decay). And everything was decaying, but not in a natural way. It wasn't the normal cycle of life that begets death that begets life. Everything was dead or dying. Even the mushrooms were dying as they sped up the decaying process.
So I noped out, went back through the door, and went through another one. I came upon a prairie that was connected to foothills and mountains and forests. It felt sacred. I felt God's presence. There was death and life in balance, and decay, while gruesome, wasn't overtaking everything. Then I saw on the edge of that place was that area of total decay and pollution slowly creeping in, choking out and contaminating everything it touched.
I understood that I'm supposed to help stop the contaminated decay, and heal it so it returns to balance. I also knew that it was a metaphor for our current world with human-driven climate change, but more than that - a look into the spiritual realities happening in our world, as a result of the physical damage we're creating.
But like I got no guidance on how I'm supposed to help??? I have an idea for my next immediate step, but in terms of how I should move forward after that I got nuthin. St Francis (of Asissi), an unknown (to me) possible saint lady, and a doe approached me with the smell of frankincense and meadow flowers, and they gave me more images but it was so fast and totally indecipherable.
And they nodded like "yes, now you understand, good" and I'm just like "???? No??? I do not understand??? Whut??????"

Be praised, My Lord through Brother Fire, through whom you brighten the night. He is beautiful, cheerful, powerful and strong.
Be praised, My Lord through our sister Mother Earth, who feeds us, rule us, produces various fruits with colored flowers and herbs.
Be praised, My Lord through those who forgive for love of you; through those who endure sickness and trial.
Happy those who endure in peace, for by you, Most High, they will be crowned.
Be praised, my Lord, through out Sister Bodily Death, from whose embrace no living person can escape. Woe to those who die in mortal sin. Happy those she finds doing your most holy will. The second death can do no harm to them.
Praise and bless my Lord and give thanks. And serve him with great humility.

Things I've learned about St Francis (UPG)
So I have alluded to recently working with St Francis of Assisi in the astral (I mean I assume it's the astral?) as a kind of pupil-mentor deal. Heres some random things ive noticed in spending time with him
- v serious and solemn
- had me preach(?) the Good Word™️ to some random animals (pretty sure they were judging me)
- side eyes
- can spend literally hours kneeling on rock ground in a cave while praying despite being an old man (dO YOU EVEN PRAY FAWN? DO YOU?)
- literal hermit
- likes candles and incense
- doesn't like being called "St Franky"
- actually doesn't particularly like being called "St" anything
- doesn't like jokes (or at least my jokes)
- very similar to like a general nature-based animist but with God as the source and ruler of all the nature spirits
- doesn't even suspect that animals may not understand human language (astral or not)
- chill with non-catholics
- wants me to delete all my game apps on my phone
- kind but s t r i c t

I grew up Protestant and never knew much about saints. I've been looking at some stuff on various saints and St Francis is my favorite I think. This is my new favorite prayer.
