Hi I wrote a little thing based on this art by ultimatedirk (which is really cool go reblog it)

"I want to be kind," Sky says, and it is a decision. It is an act of mercy, the demon king spitting out a curse as he stays his blade, just long enough to give him a chance.

"I want to be kind," Four says, and it is teamwork. It is learning how to act in balance, to never stifle the part of himself that can see the best in people.

"I want to be kind," Time says, and it is a prayer. It is a plea to the universe to let him stay innocent, please, just a little. Just enough.

"I want to be kind," Twilight says, and it is a reflection of his home. It is what he was raised to be, it is his parents and his brother and his village.

"I want to be kind," Wind says, and it is a choice. It is stubbornness, paired with a sword he was never meant to wield and a power he was never meant to have. He made himself a hero, he can make himself kind, too.

"I want to be kind," Legend says, and it is a scream. It is sinking in nails and teeth and refusing to allow this, too, to be taken. It is pain and desperation and defiance.

"I want to be kind," Hyrule says, and it is quiet determination. It is finding the beauty in the broken, the kindness in the suffering. It is a search, but one that is worth it.

"I want to be kind," Warriors says, and it is a surrender. It is laying down his sword, allowing himself to believe that kindness is not weakness, is not an opening for betrayal.

"I want to be kind," Wild says, and it is a rewriting. It is a new identity, pieced together by his own hands, formed into what he wants it to be, and no one else can tell him that it is too soft, too gentle. He can make himself that way, and he does.

Squiggles' Cousin Plays The LU Name Game

So, my cousin. Y'all may know her as the person I referenced in an ask game once as the only person who knows I'm on Tumblr. I am exactly 31 days older than her and we have been inseparable for life, but she knows nothing about LU. She knows that I like "that one comic called something about Zelda" (rip she was not paying attention) but that is it. She hasn't played any games or seen anything about LU. Just know she can be a lil inappropriate and I edited her a little but, y'know. It was funny.

I will call her Gertrude because it's...well, it's what I call her. But it is very much not her name, it's a dumb joke I like to tease her about that no one else uses so I think it's a safe pseudonym to use.

So I messaged her today and was like "hey you're playing the name game I'm sending the pics tell me what you think" and like the good cousin that she is, she played along. I screenshotted some of what I thought were absolute quality frames from the last few updates and ran with it.

It went something like this...

Me: THEY CANNOT ALL BE EDGAR

Gertrude: OH! OH I'VE GOT IT! SAD SAM!

Gertrude: Oh. Oh so they're fruity fruity.

Me: Gertrude please

Gertrude: Squiggs look at them. That's a whole fruit basket I have never seen a fruitier human and I love them

Gertrude: Idk he thinks he's all that and a bag of chips though. Um. OH I KNOW! FRUITY FRED!

(And then she sent me a video of her demonstrating what she thinks he walks like and it was hilarious and unfortunately includes her face so y'all just know it was quality and involved a lot of hair flipping)

Gertrude: Oh that's Mark

Me: That's it?

Gertrude: Yeah he's just Mark

Gertrude: Oooh a girl. I know she could kick anybody's ass. AND cook up a storm. MRS. EDGAR

Gertrude: If she's not married to Sexy Edgar she should be. She deserves it

i want an au where like

1. instead of having finished his adventure when they all portaled wild was like… exiting the shrine of ressurrection

or 2. sky just like woke up for the wing ceremony and hes like "am i still asleep??? uh??? this isnt skyloft??? i have school??????"

i dont know enough about the other games to do this with others but same idea-

The chain baby-sits one nine year old as they all speed run learning how to fight monsters

For an au like this we would basically have:

-one very confused Sky who thinks hes dreaming and wonders if he slept through the wing ceremony

-some kid with a weird talking hat who keeps trying to get literally anyone else to wear it because they just met and Ezlo hasnt grown on him yet

-some 9yo from the forest who just got a fairy companion for the first time and is SO HYPED and his energy is contagious but several of the others are kind of annoyed by how loud she is (also said kid seems to think he's a "kokiri", not a hylian, and no one knows what that means so they roll with it)

-some traumatized kid who just watched his uncle die in front of him and probably already has the entirety of the castle guard hunting him down. He is very glad that these other people hes with dont actually want him dead

-some kid who was just given a sword from some old guy in a cave, hes just here vibing

-either some farm boy who is VERY STRESSED because all the village kids JUST got kidnapped and he doesnt know if theyre ok or not...or hes just some wolf that follows everyone around (cant transform yet, still just as stressed as he would be in human form for the same reasons)

-some totally gung ho, 10yo island kid that is super excited to go on an adventure who keeps wondering why no one knows what the forbidden fortress is and why no one is willing to take him there to save his sister (they would if they knew where it was, but they dont)

-some young soldier that doesnt take orders from anybody and keeps trying to run off and do things by himself

-some amnesiac kid with tons of scars who keeps picking up sticks and rusty old swords to fight with and keeps getting surprised when they break after like two hits
