I’ve been going through my old animations in order to update my portfolio, and this was one of the oldies I found I never posted online! The original design by @konstnik and I’m pretty sure that the original walk cycle of the little guys is by @cakegums? Maybe? The animation was made with super tight schedule so it’s bit wonky, but it does have its special charm I guess. 

made in blender, based on a soviet era postcard. this is all rendered in eevee, with the windows and light details drawn with grease pencil. I animated the little people in the windows as well, but maybe I shouldn't have bothered.

"The Forest"

An illustration I painted and turned into an animated gif. This was very tedious but I like how it turned out.

I randomly remembered this song and animation and thought I'd pop it on here for anyone who hadn't seen it before. It used to play randomly on the Aussie ABC channel when I was a kid during children's programming hours, used as a filler between tv shows, and if we heard it, my sister and I used to drop whatever we were doing and go watch it.

It wasn't until I was an adult that I found out it's a song from a concept album by Roger Glover called The Butterfly Ball and the Grasshopper's Feast.

Anyway, enjoy the 70's animation!
