also if scott lang had asked hope van dyne to come to germany with him she would’ve said no bc she would’ve realized how dumb captain america was acting and that’s the tea

y’all can believe what you want but tony stark was more distraught about losing natasha at the end of civil war than he was about losing steve. like i’m sure tony feels really guilty about how things ended between him and steve, but i don’t think he really misses having steve around bc steve was always just??? on his ass for everything all the time??? 

but nat on the other hand?? 

he probably misses her so much, like he probably didn’t ever really see her that often but whenever he did they would just hang out or just chat and just be super chill, and even when he didn’t see her for days or weeks he could still feel her presence in the tower and just feel her energy and know she was around doing whatever she does when she’s alone, and after civil war that presence was just,, gone,, and im sure tony could just feel how empty the compound is without that presence and just,,, he probably just really misses her

okay but like,,, civil war was my first marvel movie way back when and even though it’s a captain america movie it’s like the main reason i don’t like cap like??? can someone explain to me what the fuck this guy was thinking during this movie because as much as i am sitting here trying to see things from his perspective i just do not understand how he came to any of the conclusions he did in this movie can someone please explain this to me

i know everyone has all these problems with how everyone in this fandom doesn’t include aunt may in fics in favour of tony or like kills her off for that sweet sweet irondad fluff or whatever their reason for it is, but something that had been starting to (for lack of a better term) bother me, and something i haven’t really seen anyone talk about is the fact that everyone always makes it seem like peter and may are pretty much poor??

and maybe this is just an extension of the whole ‘no one cares about may parker in fics’ problem or maybe it’s to illustrate how in awe of tony peter is because for some reason money is such a foreign object to him, but i feel like whenever she is mentioned in fics it’s like ‘aw man peter really needed a new notebook but he didn’t wanna ask may to buy him one because she has to work extra shifts to afford food and rent so tony stark swooped in and bought him a notebook factory’ 

and like?? that’s always seemed weird to me?? the fact that the default for may is that she works as like a waitress part-time and then also picks up shifts at like a grocery store or something “just to make ends meet” and it’s really sad that that’s just become who may is to all of us?? no one mentions her until she has to be this super woman that works two jobs and still managed to raise peter and now has to deal with the spider-man shit, and still is struggling financially.

like marvel might not ever give tony a break but none of y’all ever give one to may!

can someone explain to me what from peter and may’s living situation makes them seem poor?? in the first like 25 minutes of homecoming may takes peter (and offers to bring ned) out for food, is like ‘lmao whatever you need fam’ when he tells her he needs to buy a FIFTH backpack in, though she doesn’t say I’d guess eight months, (homecoming takes place two months after civil war, in which peter says he’s had the spidey powers for six months) and by the looks of it he has a routine of going to delmar’s bodega and getting a sub everyday after school??? they’ve always just seem aggressively middle class to me, and then i log onto tumblr.com and all of the sudden they’re living under a bridge?? 

please, someone correct me if i’m wrong, but may’s education or job status is never mentioned in canon, she can literally have any job you want her to! (ive personally always thought of her as like an art teacher or something) 

to make a long post short may and peter don’t have to be on the brink of poverty for tony to wanna throw money at them?? we all know damn well that tony stark has a guilt complex so it’s not out of character for him to want to buy things for peter, wether they’re necessities or gifts, and he and may don’t need to be facing eviction every month for may and peter to accept when tony offers to buy something for him?? if anything may doesn’t care as long as he gives her a call so she knows where he is and doesn’t start failing his classes!! 

this isn’t even about the whole ‘MAY NEEDS TO BE IN EVERY GODDAMN FIC YOU WRITE SHE’S PETER’S PARENTAL FIGURE TOO” argument, because we all know we’d die for irondad, honestly for the most part i could care less if she’s in someone’s fic or not, but whenever she is it feels like she’s just there as a means of guilt for peter over their financial situation and to offer a quick “haha thank god tony’s rich” line, which is boring? y’all don’t have to write may if you don’t want to, not every fic has to reference back to may, but if you’re gonna put it in there, be creative about it!! give the woman some dignity!! she’s a hard worker give her a job where that hard work quite literally pays off so she can go out for larb with her nephew every once and a while!!!!
