I know everyone’s been going on about the cake vs. pie metaphor (and I’m totally on-board with that, don’t get me wrong), but can we just talk about this for a minute. Out of all the things they could’ve chosen for this scene, they chose this half croissant, half oreo cookie — two things that can be enjoyed separately or at the same time. Then we get this dialogue of Sam pointing out that it’s half of one thing and half of something else. And that’s immediately followed with Dean defending his choice because “Who gives a crap? They’re friggin’ awesome.” 

Some people like oreos. Some people like croissants. Some people like both of them. I mean come on, if that’s not a metaphor for Dean being bi, I don’t know what is.
