“Uh,” Eddie says. “Hey Wheeler.”

“I’m leaving Hawkins at the end of the summer,” she says fiercely. “And I’m not coming back.”

“Oh,” Eddie clears his throat. “Good for you.” It’s a very popular sentiment around town these days, personally Eddie thinks it should be put into practice across the board. 

“You’re coming with me,” Nancy says, in a tone that doesn’t really invite discussion or argument. 

“Um. Okay?”

Seriously? That’s all you got, man? But before Eddie can get through fully kicking his own ass for that weak response, Wheeler’s giving him a nod and a flash of a satisfied smile, before getting back in the car and onto the road without so much as another word or glance at him.

Just as well Eddie Munson died in 1986, cuz no way would he have survived the release of The Lost Boys in 1987.

Little Eddie is born, and Wayne isn't there.

Eddie is four. Is eight. Is thirteen. Is twenty. And his uncle is there. His uncle is right there.

Eddie is in New York with both an explicit agenda and a hidden one. Explicitly, he is here to plan with Will for their upcoming Triumphant Return to California, to visit Jonathan and Argyle and catch up with some of Eddie’s friends from his own California years of soaking up the sun and trying desperately to not think about…certain people.

His hidden agenda is, granted, his long-term hidden agenda with Will: try to help him get over, get past, get good with the Mike Wheeler situation.

Neither agenda goes exactly according to plan.

There are two vampire!Eddie concepts inside each of us: one that’s Lost Boys-esque campy fun, and one that’s horrific heartbreaking gory devastation. The one that wins is the one you feed (blood).

Oh, nothing, just thinking of date night December 2001, Steve and Eddie going to see Fellowship of the Ring midnight release," and @greenlikethesea responded "HEY I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT THIS" and three days later we had 12k+ words of very tender bantery porn. So it goes.

I have accepted and internalized the idea that Kas!Eddie would have ice blue eyes, because a true manifestation of Vecna’s villainy would be taking those gorgeous warm chestnut walnut chocolate mocha coffee eyeballs away from us.

Yes the ol classic dilemma: spend the evening reading Eddie Munson fanfic, or spend the evening catching up on Stranger Things so I can actually get to Eddie Munson.
