This is an animated sequence that plays when you've cleared the final story quest of Esfera. In this sequence it is shown that the Black Mage has finally fused with the sun of Esfera and the moon through the power of the transcendent of light, Aiona, allowing him to combine his powers even beyond a transcendent. Because of the fusion, the Black Mage is now reborn a transcendent of two worlds aiming to destroy the current world with its dark power only to rebuild a new world with the power of light. That is also the true purpose of 'the ultimate light can only be found in the ultimate darkness' as said by the Black Mage. Now begins the real finale. To be continued...

I made this composition in 2009. I had lots of fun but I think this piece took me several hours of my time. Now that I listen to it again, I want to edit some pieces to make it better >_<.

With the help of all the five legendary heroes the Black Mage was sealed. There was peace in Maple World until…

THE BLACK MAGE RETURNED! DUN DUN DUN.

Masteria is a continent where demons come from in MapleStory. This means that characters like as Mastema, Demon Slayer/Avenger and his mother and little brother Damien are from the continent of Masteria.

Crimsonwood Castle lies in Masteria. You can access Crimsonwood Castle from the Mirror of Dimension. I do not know if the developers has more in store for Masteria but I sure hope so. Because when Masteria was released in GMS a few hints for future expansions were left behind:

- Pharaoh's Gate - Dragon Door - Foxwit's Den - Affluent Tower

Crimsonwood Castle is a new theme dungeon for players who are Lv. 130 and higher. There is one party play zone (+20% exp per party member) in this map. In the video this is around the 4:25 mark. This theme dungeon comes with three fun mini games that you have to complete in order to advance further into the castle. 

It is obvious that the developers of MapleStory changed Masteria in KMS to fit with the demon lore. I think they have done this because soon the new commander of the Black Mage will reveal himself to everyone. 

Nexon began to tease Damien since Root Abyss. He was responsible for this darkness in Sleepywood and for the seal on the World Tree, the Transcendent of Life in Maple World.  More teasers came when Demon Avenger was released. New quests for both Demon Slayer and Demon Avenger became available revealing mysterious strangers in hooded robes in Maple World. These robed men were actually demons and throughout the quest line it is explained what they are planning to do here.  (Tip: These new quests about the mysterious strangers in hooded robes are already available in MapleSEA) After that, it was found out that Shinsoo was attacked by Damien. Hearing this devastating news worried Empress Cygnus, Nineheart and her Knights of Cygnus.

They quickly went to Ereve but it was too late. Damien's attack was lethal and killed Shinsoo. Empress Cygnus cried and accidentally triggered her awakening which caused her to acquire powers similar to that of a Transcendent. Since the awakening was incomplete, her new powers are not par up to a real Transcendent. With the new powers, she granted her Knights of Cygnus newfound powers.

With the discovery of Colossus, a new area in Leafre. It has been found out that a tarantula with a familiar mark on its forehead is inside the heart of the Giant Rock. He is a good fella, but because of this strange tarantula his heart became filled with dark energy. Since he cannot move due to the little children living in Colossus, he asks for your help. You need get rid of all the evil inside his body. Upon defeating the tarantula that has been summoned by someone, you discover a Demon's Stone... !

When the Black Mage ordered his commanders to help him on a mission to burn down Ereve (and kill Empress Aria) and Leafre, we all thought the mother and little brother Damien were dead. His mother is dead, but now a new threat has come to Maple World that will tremble everyone in fear. 

We don't know what Damien and his own army of robed men are planning up to, but it's no good. I'd love to see more story lines in the continent of Masteria related to Damien and demons. Maybe, just maybe we will be able to fight Damien as a boss in Masteria. Just like Magnus in Heliseum in Grandis World.

The one who can control dreams...

Twilight Perion has been added and there are a lot of new quests for you to complete. These quests are interesting because they reveal something new what you probably don't know yet.  I am not going to translate all the quests, but here's a piece of translated dialogue of one particular quest.

There was once an ordinary girl who possessed a very rare ability. The ability to control somebody's dreams!  But, there is evil in the world of Maple. Handling magic in an original dream is not considered black magic. Heinz (Grendel) believes that this unknown girl knows how to handle her magic with dreams. Unfortunately she got trapped in the world of the Black Mage's consciousness to lure her to the dark side.

After you explore Twilight Perion and complete some quests with Heinz, you will be awarded with a Piece of Memory. With this item you will be able to enter somebody's consciousness. 

Gate to the Future. It's all a dream...

''You have an interesting talent.''

''Of course not. You stumbled into my consciousness by accident. ''

''Come to me. Eternal life, infinite knowledge... Whatever you wish for, I have it for you.''
