So, because some men have managed to sexualize stretchy yoga pants, that means stretchy yoga pants are now inappropriate/slutty/cause for “alarm.” Because the standards for what it’s okay for women to wear should be dictated by men’s libidos. Nearly every woman I have talked to about this — in the office, on Facebook, on Twitter — has echoed the sentiments of the women commenting on the GMP piece: we wear yoga pants because they are comfortable. Period. The suggestion that we A) wear them because we want sexual attention from men and B) that therefore they shouldn’t be worn in scenarios in which that attention would be “inappropriate” takes all the responsibility for controlling male lust off men and places it on women. And that is some bullshit.

Okay, this is some serious fucking bullshit right here. If men think women are wearing yoga pants (especially while ACTUALLY DOING THE TYPE OF ACTIVITY THEY WERE LITERALLY DESIGNED FOR) solely for the purpose of garnering sexual attention from men, they are not only grossly overestimating the average woman's desire for their own dicks, but also completely excusing themselves from taking any responsibility to control THEIR OWN sexual desires. They're literally projecting their own need for sexual attention onto women so that they don't have to take responsibility for the boner they're trying to show off. That's completely asinine, and shows a complete lack of respect. THIS IS THE REASON WOMEN AREN'T JUMPING ALL OVER YOU. YOU'RE CLAIMING THAT THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR NEED FOR SEXUAL ATTENTION. I want to say "FUCK YOU" here, but that's obviously not going to happen, is it? No. Shut the fuck up and DEAL WITH YOUR GODDAMN BONER.
