Congrats to Jordan, who won June’s sketch raffle through patreon! It was pretty fun to shift gears on this and draw Iron Bull. Proportion-wise he’s a LOT of fun to draw. (And I have a soft spot for qunari and tieflings.)

I had a lot of fun with this one. The original layout just didn’t have the ‘oomph’ I was hoping for and so I tried pushing it from a different angle.

I also recorded this while I was inking, so I’m gonna see about compiling and maybe posting the video for folks to watch. I’m always hearing folks enjoy my line work, so maybe it’ll be worth sharing :)

Technically it’s more “Victorian-inspired” because chagirl got a little wild with her references, and also I straight up stopped shading it like halfway through because I don’t want to be spending too crazy much time on prompts. I love you all and your beautiful brains, but I have just an unreal amount of Jason Todd fanart on the back burner that needs to be dealt with.

Anyway I hope y’all like him! As usual, I leave you with many options as to the actual reality of what’s going on in the illustration - regency AU? Dorian getting weird with clothes again? Some kind of time travel? Who knows! How is his eyepatch staying on? MAGIC!? SCIENCE!? SOME HIDEOUS COMBINATION OF THE TWO!?
