WHAT A GOOD EP In no particular order:
- FLAShBACK OF A SKULL GRUNT WHEN HE WAS A KID... BAbU... when younger, had girls fangirling his Betber but then they discovered Ilima's Eievui, crushed on said Eievui, and grunt was #forgotten, tried to won them back (WITH A ARBOK HOODIE, I WANT IT)... and failed. He hold a grudge since then. Ilima DOESN'T REMEMBER ANYTHING ABOUT IT ofc =D
- ;w; We had the mention of Yatoumori's special way of evolving in the preview... and!! Episode began with Bakugames against Nyaheat, Mao wondered out loud which Pokémon would be the next one to evolve. Togedemaru wanna!! (Sorry cutie.) But the kids thought that Pikachu would probably be next, so Satoshi gave the obligatory "he doesn't wanna!" explanation =DDD Done this series! Also nice thematic because later, when Ilima was explaining how things were with Eievui, Satoshi could relate in the "It's Great Without Evolving And Also We Have A Z-Crystal ;)))" departement, so the fact they (as in, Satoshi in particular) were going for a match worked - they were sharing something.
- Amongst the suggestions re:who is Ilima's 'mon in Poképroblem, one proposition was XERNEAS. Ilima plz. (Well, "Lillie please" since she was hosting.)
- So amongst the legends surrounding Ilima, being able to wake up (?) Nekkoara was apparently too much but not the rest pffff
- Their ways of jumping in the water with their 'mon!!! I freaked out for Garagara but :D Nice twist. Also Lillie did it!!! (And Mao was there for the cheering.)
- Re:cheering, the kids CHEERING FOR SATOSHI EXTRA-HARD to compensate the fact that Ilima's fangirls were loud, WHAT GOOD FRIENDS...
- "SIMPLE IS BEST" in Ilima's voice!!!
- So many gay/bi this epiode, especially in Skull grunts + Maamane. I'm glad.
- Anime!Ilima indeed went to Kalos and brought back galettes as omiyage, nice touch!
- Kukui mentioned the Alola League project to him so. PLOT (?!) =D
- Eievui's Z-move LITERALLY CALLS ALL THE OTHER EVOS FOR HELP like, the 'mon were in Alola and dropped everything to rush to help. Eievui, you gourou.
- The female Skull grunts being KO when Ilima did his Z-pose.

So I found new preview for SM065 (and finally footage for SM066), but the vids are lousy quality and added text on top of them, so not screencapping anything concrete outside from small caps. If you want to check the horrible quality, just search “pokemon sun & moon ep 65/66” on youtube (hoping to find good quality from twitter later!). But few things are confirmed very much:
- In SM065, Kagetora the Eevee Trainer is gonna look exactly like his game counterpart. From head to toe. Guess that means all the ‘clones’ in the games are clones of him then? :D Ilima is battling him in this special preview!
- In SM066, Musashi is wearing a blonde wig in a pink outfit. It…. kinda reminds me of someone? Wobbuffet is wearing a brunette wig, he looks so cute. :D Kojiro and Meowth seem to be attending as well!
Even if the vids I found were low quality, seeing these made me excited to see these episodes! Looking forward to them!
... I wonder if Musashi’s disguise is a reference to Reika Ryūzaki from Ace o Nerae! (which is about tennis but. y’know.)

The graduate student Ilima has come to the Pokémon School. And it appears he’s an incredible Trainer with all kinds of legends surrounding him… Also, the person serving as Ilima’s voice actor is actor and Pokémon fan Yudai Chiba! Summary: Ilima, a Trainer accompanied by an Eievui, has come to the Pokémon School. Ilima is a strong graduate student known as “The Prince of the Pokémon School”, and it’s said that many legends speak of his prowess. Satoshi might catch Passimian? Illima might actually make an appearance? New episode titles leaked, shared by Dephender on Serebii.Net forums (update, summaries have been translated):
March 1st: SM64 - Satoshi and Nagetukesaru! A Touchdown of Friendship!!
Satoshi had gone to the marketplace to shop when he ran into a group of the “Teamwork Pokémon” Nagetukesaru. It appears that groups of Nagetukesaru living on different islands have started arguing, and are now fighting over who will be the boss of all the flocks. The group Satoshi met lives on one of the islands that lost, and when he looks at them, he feels he can’t just ignore them, so he does his best to cheer them on.
March 8th: SM65 - Ilima and Eievui Have Ilimade Their Entrance!!
Satoshi and his friends were doing battle practice at the Pokémon School when the graduate student Ilima came visiting. Mao and the others know who he is, and explain that he is the greatest prodigy that has ever attended the school, one that left behind numerous legends of his prowess. Satoshi and the others go to see Ilima and check if the legends are true, but…
I had to google Nagetukesaru and it’s Passimian’s japanese name. (Oddly google gives me Satoshi Gekkouga Figurine as a result too lol Google, don’t fool me) The summary for this episode is so Satoshi thou. The title gives me the hope for catching one of them but who knows?
Illima having Eevee sounds like a fitting choice due to Eevee being normal type, and having lots of potential. He could showcase the Eeveenium-z as well! And the summary is very Illima. Graduate makes sense for him not being in Pokemon School anymore!
Either way, let’s hope these are very real titles and we’ll indeed finally have Illima appear ;D And Passimian caught! It’s very real!
