That’s actually a mix between being wary due to characters mistaking Satoshi for someone else in the past…(And Satoshi’s genes being common in the Pokémon World, I mean, look at his possible evolutions, they must have been kids at some point too, I bet they all looked like him when they were kids:… yeah.)… and from the promotion itself where they say “It seems Serena already met Satoshi before…?!” (The “…?!” is from the website.) The fact it wasn’t affirmative, but more a rhetorical/surprised/doubting question, urges me to stay cautious. But that’s probably because we’re coming out from Best Wishes!, which was FILLED with trolling of that kind, hinting at things just to gleefully slap you in the face later (I LOVED IT =D).I was also cautious because, in universe, Serena didn’t mention Satoshi’s name for a long while and a trailer gave me the feeling that her “Satoshi? Yappari sou da!” was actually added to the scene that was shown. At least in front of Platane, she did recognize Satoshi’s name, but I still find it a little suspicious she never said it before being told that was it…?(I’m still doubting the “chilhood friends” route most of people seem to be taking, too ^^’ If only because Serena’s clothes during the flashbacks really looked like what a tourist would wear, while Satoshi-or-is-it-him’s were more practical/suited to playing in the woods.But whatever the story is: I’m really happy to see that something happened in a forest, where Serena was in a vulnerable state as a kid… and she was shown to willingly go into the forest in XY004. While still being a little wary (it’s nighttime, understandable), but not complaining nor running away
