A surprising topic that Scandal and Rica Matsumoto discussed was love.

I’m not sure but it seems like Rica is saying that Satoshi is the one to declare his love or something like that? I couldn’t really hear that clearly since she starts off with girls feeling embarrassed about saying i love you?

I did hear Rica uttering this clearly though.

This is still my favourite inappropriate episode ever - IRIS SPENDING THE WHOLE EPISODE EATING APPLES/FRUITS WHILE TALKING ABOUT LOVE WITH DENT CALLING HER OUT ON HER INAPPROPRIATENESS AND HER SMUG FACES WERE JUST SCREAMING THAT SHE PERFECTLY KNEW WHAT SHE WAS DOING while Satoshi was "yay, FRIENDSHIP!" at the 'mon's mating rituals, thus incidentally saying a lot about a bazillion ships. And then, the final.

Fun fact! The only time time Satoshi looked impressed by something Serena did was when she spontaneously showed him how to approach Sihorn ("Sugoi...") - the other times, when she was trying to impress him or to express how she had been impressed by him, he just totally missed it or brushed it off like it didn't matter to him (although he did ask her whether he could eat the cookies, he didn't even thank her or compliment her on them :"D Awful brat, he's usually more polite than this.) Will the clash between expectation and reality intent and practicality be a running gag or something...? Also, there maaaaaay be something about Serena's childhood as a whole in the future? I mean, girl stalked him, seemed a little annoyed that he didn't remember her (Satoshi didn't even know her name, she never said it in the flashback + when he finally remembered her, it was only as "the girl with a straw hat" and like an anecdote)... and she said she had "wanted to see and meet him" when she had seen him on TV because she felt "nostalgic" (natsukashii) about that encounter. That seems... a little over the top, even out of politeness/admiration/crush/squish? So, she... may not have any childhood friends, or friends at all in her town...? (Future flashbacks with the XY games' cast? /o/)
