I do have some kind of justification for why Jon would show up weird on polaroids (as opposed to digital media, when in tma it’s often vice versa) but to be honest, the actual justification is “because it’s funnier”.

I’ve been thinking a lot about Gertrude lately.
About what it would be like to devote your entire life to stopping one apocalypse after another only to learn in your final years that none of it had ever really mattered.
About what it would be like to receive that final letter from Dekker, ‘the only real hero in TMA’, in MAG 157, a man of raw conviction and hope.
About what it would be like to know in your heart you were the latter – faithless, tired and destined for an equally grisly end, and to carry on with the work anyhow and never let the monsters know.

the first drawing is the first ever jonmartin i’ve ever drawn, back in january 2020. i thought about redrawing it as is but i think it’s much more interesting to draw it again as the finale, makes for a really fun contrast imo! Look How Far We’ve Come and all.
anyway, thank you tma, this show has meant a lot to me, and has helped me both improve a lot art wise as well as make some connections w some really cool people i definitely would never have met otherwise. but most importantly thank You for all your support and love this past year!! it truly means a lot and i appreciate you all immensely! thank you! i love you!
