What do you consider the pillars of your diet? Like not what you consider the most delicious, or even necessarily your “favorite” food, but the food that if you look within your heart and are honest with yourself actually eat more often than anything else? I think mine is toast, broccoli, and eggs
With Kamala/Walz going up DAILY, I've seen more people talking about voting third party/Jill Stein (EW) and I believe the above screencaps from @three--rings can explain WHY Third Party votes NEVER work NOR is this the election to screw around in.
Everyone....like she says above.....PLEASE LEARN FROM HISTORY!!!
(Because if Trump gets in, he's NEVER LEAVING).
yeah real, if you're dead set on not voting for Kamala vote uncommitted. dont vote for a third party candidate and don't not vote at all
Thinking of taking some selfies soon where I’m sticking up the middle finger… I’ve seen others do it before and it looks so badass so I want to give it a try
I have no sympathy for veterans of imperial core militaries, no not even if you were outright drafted.
actually there is a very easy way for everyone in an imperial core country to not be drafted into a war and that is to dodge the draft and take the prison time or fake a disability, something that is extremely easy to do compared to the people having the war brought to them whose only option is to become guerrila soldiers or stateless refugees. i do not sympathise with anyone who is even the least bit whiny about making the right choice, nevermind someone who surrenders to becoming a bloodsoaked shambling war machine without a fight because 2 years in jail was too hard wah wah. the fact that sending countless innocents to their screaming deaths for USAmerican or european economic interests was easier for you than student loan debt or a criminal record does not exonerate you. rather the contrary, it marks you as a monstrous coward who deserves to have his entire squad immolated alive by guerrilas.
i feel like we as leftists really like to not acknowledge that americans who join the military have been propagandized to their entire lives. it's not just material incentives like college, it's psychological. they're victims of propaganda and i don't think we should jump down the throats of grunts who got tricked into it. if a knuckledragger comes back with the opinion that oh shit war is bad, i think we should celebrate that. i think attacking the poor people who are used as fodder is actively counter productive. it seems hypocritical to be a leftist and not see this working class group of people as victims of the system who are worth having solidarity with. veterans can be some of the most outspoken antiwar advocates and focusing all this vitriol at them instead of the systems that took advantage of them is bad
I would love to know what your plan is to counter propaganda that is pro-military without acknowledging that joining the military is becoming an accomplice in monstrous crimes and that people who do so in the current year where knowledge of what exactly the military does is a literal push of a button away are signing up to become murderers for personal gain. i find myself infinitely less concerned with, say, the 330 million victims of propaganda in the USA than the millions of victims of bullet between eyes in Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Korea, Japan, Argentina, and countless more for whatever reason. I think that population is a much bigger priority to any serious anti imperialist movement than people who gleefully go along with the slaughter of their children for personal gain and that people who are more invested in not hearing the truth about the military than changing the function of the military are not allies worth cultivating.
i think we can have both. we can acknowledge all victims of American imperialism and we can acknowledge that people are victimized in different ways. if class war is the only war, as we love to say, then the grunts are our allies. and ill tell you this much, a veteran spreading leftist beliefs is far more likely to change the minds of regular americans than we are. we should have solidarity with all working people because all working people are victims in some way
i don't think any veteran has leftist beliefs unless they are willing to condemn anyone who participates in the DOTB military to aid the mass murder of children. class war isn't the only war! it is the originator of all other wars, but imperialism is in fact real and the slaughter it perpetuates and communicating that it is unequivocally wrong is a bigger priority than swaying a miniscule proportion of USAmerican veterans willing to act against their own interests as militarymen, or having sympathy for people who contribute to the murder of countless children who will never achieve full literacy because they are *dead* because he wanted to afford a college education. hope this helps pretending that white military men are an equal priority to the people's liberation than the slaughter of the people they perpetuate is racist. being more willing to acknowledge their propagandization than to combat it the second acknowledging that they are killers and the working class' enemy as a tool of imperialism and state repression hurts their feelings is racist. you are not a serious anti imperialist and this is not a leftist position. you are a clown doing apologia for people who drone strike children with a smile on their face and put it on their resume
bestie. what's YOUR serious plan. you're arguing on the internet.
