Some crystals, shells and other trinkets I’ve acquired recently.

The shells are: a spider conch, a cowrie, some sort of scallop or clam, and I’m not sure what type the second biggest one is.

The crystals are: a prehnite palm stone (It’s more green in real life, the lighting isn’t very good), a small garnet tumble and a black tourmaline cluster, as well as some tiger’s eye beads and some green crystal bits (I think they’re mostly some sort of jasper, with a few moss agate pieces).

I also got a set of tiny brownish pearlescent dice and some wooden acorns that I stained with coffee and wood stain.

Another batch of shells that are ready after the coffee-staining process. There are clam shells and cockle shells, some are whole, and some are just pieces.

There’s also a cool gastropod shell on the lower left corner, that one is definitely one of my favourites, it’s a more unique find from the beach I went to, especially finding a bigger, whole one like that!

Another favourite in these photos is also the worn, rounded clam shell at the lower left. It reminds me of a big coin and has some green colouring on the underside.

Some more coffee-stained shells I got from the beach a little bit ago. It’s all oysters here. I really love the details and textures they have, with all the ruffles and barnacles. The ones with holes through them can be good for stringing on jewellery or decorations and stuff.

The one in the last photo formed around a pebble, which is pretty cool to me :)

A recent thift store find, a shell jewellery box! <3 I’m not sure if the shell on the outside is real or not, because of the crackle effect, but it does look a lot like abalone shell. It does also feel colder than room temperature, which is a sign it could be real shell, but I’m not sure.

The shell that it’s framed over is real though, but I’ve covered it on the inside with dark green corduroy, since it had old pen markings on it that wouldn’t come off, and I figured it could use some padding to avoid scratching what I put in it. And now that it has fabric lining inside, it makes a nice low, muffled clack sound when it closes, kinda like the closing sound of a fabric ring box ♡(˶^◡^˶)♡

I took a picture next to one of my abalone shells for comparison, as well as with the grey pearl necklace I made a while ago, since I thought they all looked good together ❀˚₊·⋆。

I made it from shells that already had naturally occurring holes.

This is definitely one of my favourite witchcraft-related things I’ve ever made. It’s still very special to me ·₊˚ ☽♡☾ ˚₊· <|:)

The last of the coffe-stained shells I got from the beach recently. These are mostly the smaller ones.

There are clams, some pieces of cockle shells and many broken gastropod shells, which are my current favourites, since they aren’t quite as common for the beach I went to (though they’re not exactly rare, either).

Here’s some more of the shells I collected recently. I stained all of them with coffee, since I like how it looks better than their previous, sun bleached state.

This is a batch of just oyster shells again, with some more that have holes already in them and some nice barnacles growing on them :]

Some of the shells from my beach trip recently. Here’s the ones that took the coffee stain quickly, or didn’t need it in the first place. These are also some of the slightly more unique finds.

There’s a clam, some pieces of broken cockle shells (I think), some broken gastropod shells, limpets, a couple mussels, and of course, some barnacles growing on a few of them.

I got these shells with the most recent batch I got from a thrift store, but I decided to dye them with coffee since I like the stained look better than the stark white that they were orignally.

Two of them are carrier shells, and save for one, they’ve both lost the shells that I were once fastened around the outside of them before I got them. You can see the leftover fragments and some of the imprints left behind by the previous shells. As for the other shell, I have some general guesses, but I’m not exactly sure what it is.

More hoard additions from a recent outing: shells and some modern stone arrowheads. Three of the arrowheads are obsidian, and the brown one is some sort of other rock. The branchy dark brown shell is some sort of murex, but I’m not sure what the other two are.

A shell collection I found in a bag at a thrift store, this collection had the coral pieces I showed in another post included in it. It’s mostly shells, but there are also some rocks, a piece of wood and what I believe to be some ceramic pieces.
