Some yarn crafts I've been working on lately.

I added some stitching to a sweater with some multicolour earth-toned yarn. I think it works well with the embroidery I previously did on it.

I did some more yarn stitching onto a plain brown cardigan, I changed the buttons too. I tried out doing a couple spiral sun patterns on the pockets, I'll be adding more to the rest of the sweater as well.

I also did a bit of knitting. I had to refresh myself on the garter stitch, because it's been a while since I first tried it out, then I learned how to do the stockinette stitch for the first time! <|:) It's not perfect, but I don't need it to be ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm just trying to enjoy making stuff.

The fourth (and final for now) member of the swamp pals, and my smallest hand puppet:

❀⋆·₊˚☆彡 Simona Snail ☆彡˚₊·⋆❀

She's made with light olive green fur fabric, and dark kelp green with brown for her shell. Fae's got a tan lace and green satiny neck ruffle, a ruffly bonnet, and crocheted book bag (made by Millicent Moth, of course) with some little books inside. Everything has plenty of lace and bows! ୨୧ <3

Simona is a librarian, she's very organized, and likes everything to be catalogued correctly and in proper place. Though she doesn't worry about overdue books or late fees, she's a slow reader faeself, so fae understands! :)

Faer hobbies include reading, bookbinding (she loves repairing and preserving old books), going on walks (very slowly), and lace making! She's a quiet and gentle soul, and prefers to take things slow and easy, always stopping to smell the roses and taking her time to enjoy every little bit of life!

She also enjoys writing, especially handwritten letters for her friends (snail mail) and poetry. Fae's quite the little author!

Kinda been going through a creative block lately, I just hadn’t been motivated to really get into making fun stuff anymore.

But the gears in my brain have finally been turning recently, steering me back into puppet-making! :D

I’ve got an idea for a new character, so I’m looking forward to working on that. I also have some funky yarn to use as well! :-)

I made some more of these Flatwoods Monster-ish guys a little while ago. (The fuzzy one in the last two photos is more green in real life, the lighting didn't show the colours that well. )

I made them in order of decreasing size, smaller and smaller until the little grey one. I think that's about as small as I can get with sewing them (I needed needle nose pliers to flip them right-side-out).

.·₊˚𐐒(୨୧^v^) I made these little guys recently (❛ᴗ❛八)𐐚˚₊·. I was inspired by the shape of the Flatwoods Monster (also called the Braxton County Monster or Braxie), which is one of my favourite cryptids :)

I have made a Flatwoods Monster plush before, so maybe they're Braxie's little cousins from out of town or something. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(The lighting is a bit dim in the photos, but I edited them for visibility the best I could. )

The handsewn polyhedral dice set is now done! <|:^D The final one I made is the six-sided die. I decided to do some more embroidery on it, especially to tie it in with the three-sided die, as well as the rest of the set.

Rather than numbers, I stitched different amounts of things onto each face of the die. One sun, two crescent moons, three beetles, four leaves, five flowers and six stars ☼ ☾ 𐐪𐑂 ⚘ ❀ ☆

I also took some pictures of them with my treasure chest mimic, since I originally had it in mind for storing them. I think they go together well, I even used the same type of tan-green coloured fabric for the mimic’s eye as I did on some of the dice :)

Fourteen Fabric Scrap Fishies!

They were a pleasant little experience to make and a nice way to use up some of my smaller scraps of fabric, as well as some other items I had in storage that I wasn’t using for anything else.

I kinda see them as luck charms or even little protection tokens, so I’ll probably place them around my room (especially in the corners), and a few of my favourites can go on my water altar¯\_(ᵕᴗᵕ)_/¯

I tried cross stitch for the first time!! ᘛ⁐̤ᕐᐷ.⋆˚౨ৎ˚⋆. <3

I used some boomark-sized pieces that I think are from my grandmother's supplies that she passed down. I love the lace they have, and the brown colour of the material :-)

First I did an ivy pattern with some grey butterflies and specks. Second, I made a night sky scene with a crescent moon, pine trees, ferns, and an owl on a branch. I've also started a little garden scene, with rows of plants.

It was all freehand, and didn't really thin out the embroidery thread for a lot of it, so the lines are thicker and more solid-looking.

I saw these fingerless skeleton gloves and I thought they were so cool!!! I got so inspired I had to try a version of the idea out for myself! :)

I looked up a sewing pattern online and followed that. I cut out two pieces for each hand and sewed them together. I tried to make them a bit more roomy and not so snug, since it was my first time making them.

I used paint and reference photos to add the bones. It took quite a few layers and they're not perfectly accurate, but I think they turned out nice! 𐐒(୨୧ᵕᴗᵕ) 𓍊𓋼𓍊 <3

Some more progress on my third crocheted blanket. I added a few more rows of colour onto the big granny stitch square and made some more skulls.

I also did a row of ghost squares, and I'm working on some eye squares as well <|:-)
