It’s been a while since I’ve been able to find some cool rocks outside, so I was glad to find these in some local parking lots :)

The first batch is from a grocery store parking lot, the big stripey, layered one it my favourite <3 The second batch is from a rainy day in a thrift store parking lot.

The very last little orangey-brown one is from a neighbour’s driveway. It’s really pretty and translucent, with slight variations of colour when held up to the light, it definitely reminds me of an agate (like the more common ones found in rivers and lakes).

I made another batch of air dry clay beads, so here’s the finished string arrangements of them. I painted them with a lot of eyes, a few spiral shells, a couple mushrooms, a leaf, and some other random shapes and patterns.

I’ve also made some new necklaces recently: a couple of simple shells, a spider charm and heart locket (with pieces of my two cats’ fur in it), a choker of black safety pins and pop can tab hearts, and a a four-leaf clover coin that I wrapped in wire with wooden and metal beads.

Went on a boggy forest walk a few days ago, the teddy bear and bowl were sitting on a bench memorial. It makes me think of some sort of forest guardian and their mossy leaf cauldron. ·₊˚⍋࿐࿔*:・˚₊·

When I got the idea to make a treasure chest mimic in the recent past, I originally had crocheting in mind, but because I didn’t have brown yarn at the time, I used hot glue and fabric instead.

But now that I’ve gotten more brown yarn, I was able to make a smaller mimic. This one ended up kinda wonky as well, but I guess that just happens when using soft materials for something like this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I crocheted all the basic shapes out of brown yarn. Rectangles for everything accept the sides of the lid, which I did by crocheting a circle, carefully cutting it in half and stitching around the cut edge to stop it from falling apart.

I also crocheted a tongue and made an eye with fabric and a green button. I did some stitching along the edges of the box with dark grey yarn for a bit of decoration and used some brass-looking metal buttons with knights on them so the chest can be tied closed.

I kept this mimic more simple, and even though it’s not the neatest and quite uneven, I still like how it turned out! <|:^)

A bit more of an expiremental frog this time. I was recently given two metal buttons, with crest-like emblems on them, so they inspired the idea for this frog.

His name is ○[]xxx[]::::::::::::::::> Greatsword ○[]xxx[]::::::::::::::::>

I went with a knight theme. I crocheted the body with grey yarn, to emulate the appearance of chain mail. I also stitched some lines along the grey fabric of the lower body piece, for a more segmented look, somewhat like armour.

I used my yarn needle to stitch a design on the body as well. It’s sort of a crest that I made up, it’s a sword going through a heart, with a sun and crescent moon inside on either side.

I’ve done a couple partially-crocheted frogs before, but I had used fuzzy yarn that didn’t show the stitches of the yarn very much, so this is the first frog that I used regular yarn on. I’ll definitely try out more crocheted frogs in the future! :)

A pair of hand warmers I crocheted recently, in preparation and excitement for the upcoming colder weather. I’ve made a couple pairs before, but I figured I’d make a more “cool-toned” pair with black yarn.

I also tried out a slightly different shape with this pair, they’re a little less snug and longer around the fingers. I also didn’t stitch finger holes in them, since they’re less likely to slide down.

Another die for my handsewn dice set. I went right to making a twenty-sided die, because I wanted to stick to the ones that are just comprised of triangles for the first few.

I honestly thought it would be a lot more complicated, but I was easily able to find some helpful images and patterns online for a bit of guidence, to help me figure out how things should be layed out and attatched.

This one is definitely my favourite of the bunch so far! <|:^D
